RE: Worst McCartney album?
P.S. Just as some folks are always compiling their perfect track listing of the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's...' album, with the 'Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever' single appended to it, in place of a couple of tracks that actually appear on it, I've been doing it with Paul's 'Band on the Run' album. MY 'Band on the Run' lineup goes like this: Side One: Band on the Run Jet Bluebird Mrs. Vandebilt Let Me Roll It Side Two Live and Let Die Country Dreamer Helen Wheels Picasso's Last Words [Drink to Me...] Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five Possible (or not) Hidden Bonus Track at End: Zoo Gang (depending on it's recording date, etc.} Anyway, it's just some more messing about. As for my real 'worst McCartney album'--I don't enjoy the FIRST Fireman album [Strawberries...] Take Care. Pat. 'Bye.

RE: Worst McCartney album?
Hi, Everybody! To Quagmire: LOL! Now, That's the Spirit!! When troubles come, they often come by the shovelfuls or in spades. To Michelley & Co.: I was just funnin'. It's Linda, right? To Everybody Else who've been rating the discs: Thanks! I'm enjoying the differences of opinions all around. Final Note: For Fun, you folks might want to check 'WIKIPEDIA' for some giggles about each of Paul's albums--Studio, Live, Classical, Experimental, etc. There's some interesting background stuff, reviews and anecdotes about most of them; for instance Ram & Band on the Run (to mention two). Take Care. Sincerely, Pat.

RE: Worst McCartney album?
Hi, Everybody! I really like/love the 'Ram' album, too, but the 'Band on the Run' album is the one that made Paul a 'solo' legend. 'Ram' has a lot of fine tracks on it and a great 'sound', but the tunes are a bit 'lightweight' [dare I say it?] and a few of them. like 'Long Haired Lady' are flawed. I'm not a big fan of '3 Legs' either, though a lot of other folks enjoy it. The 'Band on the Run' songs are more 'solid' [IMHO, again] and two of them (or three in the US) became major hits. Anyway, I did state that those who really loved a specific album should feel free to kick the grade up a notch or two. Plus, a solid 'B'--minimum, is a GOOD/FINE grade. Finally, in it's day [1971] it wasn't that well thought of [see 'The Beatles: An Illustrated Record' by Roy Carr and Tony(?) Tyler [book] for a late '70's/ early '80's review (give or take-- depending on the edition). As long as they're all 'in print'--I'm cool with it! Best Wishes, Pat. P.S. To Macsback: Big Smile. I understand. I have a lot of fun with 'Wild Life', too, although I don't feel it's one of Paul's best. 'Bye.

RE: Worst McCartney album?
In Conclusion, please remember that NEW Compact Discs cost approximately 15.00 US Dollars each and so a fun little album like, say 'Wild Life', as issued, with NO bonus tracks, is only 8 regular songs of varying quality for 15 Bucks. OUCH!! Oh, Yeah, I've actually heard EVERY track on all of these Lps, although, obviously, the songs that didn't 'grab me' aren't easy for me to recall (if at all). Lol! Take Care, Everybody. 'Bye for Now. Pat. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.....

RE: Worst McCartney album?
Hi, Audi, Macsback, Lazydynamite88 and EVERYBODY! OK, Here Goes: First off, I am a fervent fan of the Beatles'/Paul McCartney's music, along with the music of the other 'Big Three--John/George/Ringo. That said, here comes the main long and winding DISCLAIMER: Even though I personally love and thoroughly enjoy McCartney albums such as 'Wild Life', and 'Back to the Egg', etc. because they ROCK and others because they 'pop', when compared to ALL-TIME classic albums like The Beatles' Sgt. Peppers's.../Revolver, The Rolling Stones' Aftermath/Beggar's Banquet, The Kinks' 'Village Green Preservation Society/Something Else The Who's 'Who's Next'/'Tommy', Jimi Hendrix's 'Are You Experienced?'/'Electric Ladyland', The Beach Boys' 'Pet Sounds'/'Sunflower'(not to leave out the 'Smile' Sessions), Stevie Wonder's 'Innervisions'/'Songs in the Key of Life' and hundreds of other Rock/Pop/Soul albums, many of 'Our Hero's LPs do not, unfortunately, quite measure up. Awww. So, the following is my dodgy all-purpose MINIMUM Value grading of all of Sir Paul's studio platters. If YOU like or love a particular disc, just up the grade(s) a notch or two--they're just one dudes current tally--not written in stone, standing or otherwise. [small lol] Whew!!
