I'm glad you posted this because you have totally read my mind. I was lucky enough to go to the Paul McCartney concert in Milwaukee, WI in Oct 2005. I have never been so emotional at a concert and my mom summed it up for me. "It felt like Dad was there with us". My father had passed away suddenly in Dec of 2004. He was healthy as could be, ate right, walked 7 miles per day, and literally dropped dead walking home one evening. It was a complete shock to us all. He resided in Taipei, Taiwan. I live in Illinois in the States. We moved to Taiwan in 1985 and due to marital conflicts, my mother, brother, and I moved back to the states in 1986. My father stayed in Taiwan for his job and after my parent's divorce, quickly remarried. I traveled there to see him 1-2 times per year and occassionally, when he would get a day or two in the states on business, he would see us here. Things were always rough emotionally between us, but the one thing that we could talk about and truly enjoy together was Paul's music and the Beatle's music. When we were together, we'd go to the music store and get the various tapes & cd's together. When we were apart, we'd mail one of Paul's cd's or tapes to eachother knowing we would enjoy it. The past few months have been hard, but going to Paul's concert that night in Milwaukee truly made me smile and cry. It was one of the very few things that my father and I could enjoy together and my mom was right, my dad was there with us that night with Paul. I only wish I could thank Paul and let him know that that night, during that concert, was probably the first night that I felt at peace for over 20 years with my father. It was one of the few things that comforted us both over the years and definately is something that comforts me now. I find myself telling my kids about their Grandpa Bert whenever we listen to the music of Paul or the Beatles. Kelly Clayton, 26 Rockton, Illinois USA
