Hiit’s been a long time since I’ve been here!
I live 15 mins from this venue and drove like Lewis Hamilton to get there on Thursday afternoon and missed tickets by about 30mins
️. I stood in a “reserve” queue which we were told could get us tickets if people buying did not have photographic ID. 3 hours later I drove home. Undeterred I turned up on Friday afternoon at 4pm to hear ( vaguely) Wicks singing at the sound check. A few hundred in the carpark, all fans without tickets. The venue holds 800 but because of the stage and kit only 400 tickets were sold. On top of that 100 tickets were reserved for MPL guests. The “100” went in a side door. They seemed pretty much like people who were there for the occasion, ( the people who couldn’t even name a solo album if their lives depended on it).
Macca arrived and waved out of the car window. He started performing and then it started raining. Hundreds left for home. About 100 people stood along a footpath to the side of the venue. We could just make out the songs. It became a “name that tune” competition ( I won
)!! I had no coat or umbrella and got soaked through. Friendship’s were made
. What annoyed us was seeing ticket holders standing outside talking DURING Maccas performance!!!
I mean COME ON! Who does that!! Real fans waiting hours, standing in the rain and people who have the tickets are OUTSIDE!
Anyway. I wandered back to my car, dripping wet, which was parked by the exit of the small carpark. As I’m stood by the drivers door a black limo pulls up beside me, the driver pausing before pulling out onto a little side road. It’s just me, the limo and 3 feet in between the rear seat passengers. Their window is down and HE is there beside me! The moment I have waited 43 years for and im stood hair and clothes stuck to me from 2 hours in the rain, and all I can think of to say is “I STOOD IN THE RAIN SINGING!”. So Macca thumbs up
and says “thank you”. And it was to ME, no one else was there ….. just me…. My jaw dropped to the floor and I could have cried I was so happy. I drove home literally on cloud nine . A 57 year old crazy blonde acting like a teenager
.
My family and old friends were emotional for me…… after all the years of banging on about Macca and the concerts, posters in bedrooms, t-shirts etc etc etc they were just glad to hear the end of it! Although I will dine out on my story for the rest of my life.
Im still smiling just thinking of it weeks later 🥹* ***~~``` [list item]() ```~~***

But these are resale tickets, right? Like Jock said, if purchased during the pre-sale or regular sale, they would be £45-140.
I haven’t purchased a “regular” seat since 2002 and at the time they were close to $300 each then, including service charges. They were floor seats in the 2nd section back, towards the front of the section. Believe it or not, my ex-husband actually bought the tickets for my birthday and he went with me! I bought us tickets for Bruce Springsteen for his birthday and we went together! (very amicable divorce! Lol!)
I can’t honestly answer that question as I have only just looked as I was away for presale. Perhaps someone else can. When I saw him in 2003 the same tickets were £150. I’ve never been lucky enough to get VIP/sound check tickets as they have been way out of my league
.
the best I’ve had were in 1990 when the Fun Club sold the first 20 rows to members in the old postage stamp days
. I was 10 rows from the front
.............now that was memorable

Tickets on Viaggo ( I think that’s the spelling).
Look I’m 53 and have been a MASSIVE fan since I was 13 ( sh*t that’s 40 yrs I’ve just realised
) I’m lucky I have seen him live 5 times, Fun Club member etc ............BUT £300 is just crazy!!!!!!! I just don’t have that sort of money in this economic climate. The only tickets I would have been able to afford ( when they were first on sale) would have been the ‘nosebleed’ seats . If you’ve ever been to the 02 trust me they are the scariest seats EVER!
good luck to all the true macca fans out there trying to see him

RE: Set List critique
So now I have your attention (maybe)..... I was at the Birmingham gig on the 27th....my 5th in 25 years. I have NEVER sat down at a concert by Macca . It was a brilliant concert as usual. But now I must have a moan. WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING PUTTING TEMPORARY SECRETARY ON THE SET LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was truly awful....i sat down!! The audience went flat... there was muted applause afterwards... the Macca stepped up to the mike, held his hand out as if acknowledging how bad it was and said "I hear ya". Please PLEASE don't play it live again... it was awful when it was first released and is awful now ...sorry everyone but it has to be said. Sarah
