At the United Center show, 3 years ago I think, this group of young people was in front of me, drinking, and talking a lot. Not about the show. Just amongst themselves. They were so annoying. Finally I told them that if they wanted to talk to each other and not watch the show, that they should go out to the concourse. They didn't completely shut up after that (see: drunk), but they were a little quieter for a while. That's also where Paul read a sign a few seats down from me (I was in the lower section in the stands, maybe halfway up in it) and I realized that Paul's eyes are pretty good!

Haha ok, maybe it was him then! lol Oh, and I forgot to add...two thumbs up for shorts!
I was so glad I was wearing them, and I never got chilly.

To the poster above...that helicopter you saw was Paul arriving, He arrived by copter on both days.
Oh yes, I know he did. I'm just thinking that he might have already been there by that point. I started hearing the sound check at about 5:10, and he was about halfway through already, and I had only seen the helicopter maybe 15 minutes before that, so I just don't think he would have had enough time for that to have been him. I think he had to be earlier. And then later there were a ton of helicopters flying around.

Just heard from my friend. They got soundcheck and lawn seats. But soundcheck is what I would really want! She said it was awesome, of course!

RE: Tinley Park Il Hollywood Casino Amph.-7-25-26-2017-CONFIRMED
So last night, I got there just before 5pm, turned off of Harlem, and traffic was stopped, because they hadn't quite opened the parking lot yet. A helicopter flew over, which I thought was Paul, but seeing how many songs I didn't hear from the soundcheck, I think he must have been there well before that. When I finally pulled into the parking lot at about 5:10, I put my windows down and immediately heard Let 'Em In. So I heard everything from then on, although I think the song that I really couldn't make out was Ram On. I went over and stood in a corner with my phone recording, but people kept coming up talking to me! lol No, I don't need anything, I just need you to be quiet! lol When I got to my seat, it seemed pretty good...until the 7-foot-tall guy came and sat right in front of me. I'm 5 feet, and there was barely any slope between rows. There were three guys in my way, and I could only see when they all aligned perfectly. Finally, a guy two seats down pointed out there there was an empty seat in the row in front of him, so I moved down there and could see pretty well for the rest of the show. My hero! But he'd left before I could thank him again at the end of the show. Is he here? Once again, I think I enjoyed Hi, Hi, Hi more than anyone else there. LOL I LOVE that song! I think the only new song for me was I Wanna Be Your Man, but at least there was one! (And I loved it! I wanted to get some video of it, but it didn't last long before I had to stop so I could jump around!) He did sound good on Maybe I'm Amazed! Then later on, which he was telling us to sing various things after him, his voice kind of croaked on one of them and he made a face. It must really be frustrating to have your voice going after it used to be so strong.
I love the way he sort of skips down from the piano at the start of The End!

So get this...I have a friend who went last night with lawn seats. She's in a Beatles Ensemble at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and two nights ago, she found out that Paul is giving all of them VIP passes to the show, including the soundcheck! So she's going back today with a soundcheck package (she doesn't know where her seat will be, but it'll be a lot better than lawn!) for free! 1. Paul is awesome! 2. I'm so jealous!
Very cool! He seems to do this often. In Des Moines, he invited a Drake University fine arts class in for soundcheck. They had to stand behind us
And in Lincoln in 2014, there was (I think) a class of high school kids that got to come into soundcheck. I don't know if either of these groups got tickets of any kind but getting into soundcheck unexpectedly would be pretty cool on its own!
Yeah, that's so awesome! I'll report back as to what she ended up with. But she was under the impression that it was the soundcheck, dinner, and seats, but she didn't know where the seats would be.
