I'm still wondering who played the claves, or whatever that is. Was it playing on Wix's machine or what??? Everybody is up front on guitars, so where is it coming from?

And remember he was in Ringo's first (and best) All-Starrs Band!

RE: Paul, 30/06 AND 01/07 Horsens, Denmark - POSTPONED
Lucky Danes, especially because Paul will be playing an arena, not a stadium. I am jealous, and getting a little worried about whether he will play the U.S. this year. Fingers crossed. (Hey, if he's spending the Summer in the Hamptons, he could just head out from there every so often and do a show...doesn't have to give up his whole vacation for us!)

RE: Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
A new professional soccer stadium was built a couple of years ago in the town next to me! Right next to mass transit station, too...maybe???? Come on, Paul!

Help end Mexico City Bull-"fighting"
Right now Mexico City?s Assembly is discussing a new law that could bring a permanent end to bullfighting in the district. Currently at least 1,400 bulls die a year in Mexico*. Pitted against men and tormented with spears, swords and daggers, the bulls suffer extreme cruelty in the name of sport. By signing this letter to Mexico City Assembly member Aleida Alavez, you are helping to bring about an end to bullfighting in Mexico City. In 2010, we succeeded in helping to end bullfighting in Catalonia, Spain after 164,000 people around the world signed our online petition. Your voices were heard and it can happen again. http://e-activist.com/ea-action/action

I was a bit concerned to read that Ringo wasn't there, again due to being sick. I hope he's okay!?

I started watching, but when it opened with the red-carpet reporter saying Paul had just gone in, I knew it was going to be downhill from there! The Man of the Hour and you don't even show him, never mind talk with him? I stuck around for a few minutes, but couldn't take the inane questions, poor sound, long gaps of the reporter blabbing to fill time, so logged off.

RE: Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
Me, too, Joe and Wix! I've become very spoiled the last 3 years, and so have my two young nieces who have accompanied me to the shows. We all say: Please, please come back to the NY area again this year, Paul! (NJ would be perfect, thank-you!)

RE: Paul Collaborates On World Premiere NYC Ballet
Thank-you for the comments, you lucky people who were at the debut! I have tix for one of the January performances, even though Paul won't be at those! I've never been to the ballet, but what better introduction could there be?

RE: Paul's boots?
I watched the Chicago Fest online, also. You can find it on Ustream. Abbey Road on the River will probably be on there, also, Labor Day Weekend.

RE: Exciting New peradventures of James Paul McCartney...
oobu and Podge: That was definitely not a New Jersey accent! Please, we do not say "Joisey!" Our hackles go up whenever we hear that!

Good advice re. the traffic! It was unbelievable! There's work going on on the George Washington Bridge and detours, forcing traffic into one lane in that area, which means it was a parking lot for miles! I can't believe there wasn't some preparation for traffic; just some cops directing traffic would have helped. The subways were packed, also, though, so whatever you route you take, have patience!

He took the stage about 8:30. I lost track of time, as seeing Paul will make me do, but I'll guess it was just a little after 11 or so when the 2nd encore ended.

@5th-beatle: yes, new merchandise. Usual prices: $40 and up for shirts, etc. There was a stall set up outside the stadium, so you were able to purchase things before the gates opened, as well as stalls inside the stadium.

@dubstar: yes, you can hear the sound check outside the stadium. That is, when the El (elevated subway) trains aren't passing! The line runs right next to the stadium! We could hear it well enough to identify the songs being played.

Paul looked and sounded great! I thought it was a bit more of a rocking show, but maybe that was just because of the song order? No one was brought on stage for any tattoo signing or whatever. Paul's banter was pretty much the same stories he's been telling. Someone close to him should tell him to get some new stuff! I wasn't thrilled with the people around me: lots of arguing about blocking the view, a couple almost got thrown out; maybe all that beer that was constantly being hawked, the venders continued walking through the stands yelling "Beer here!" all through the show! Traffic was a nightmare, there didn't seem to be any planning or traffic directing going on. Paul wore that blue jacket he's worn before, white shirt, suspenders, Beatle boots. Paul arrived earlier than he usually does for the soundcheck, about 1 or 1:30 rather than 4 or 4:30. Don't know what time the check actually started, but could hear it from about 4:00 till about 5:30 or so. I know lots of us want big changes, but we have to remember not everyone has seen the show before, and you can tell by the reactions of the crowd to some songs that they are totally surprised to be hearing, while others are thinking, "Oh, no, not again!" Can't be easy putting a show like this together, and will never please everyone.

Along with wondering what the set list will be, I wonder what Paul's stage attire will be this time?
