I love this movie too, "Green Card," but can't find the exact ones I loved from its soundtrack...it has a great sound track though with a lot of 'world' music, really exotic stuff...some of the tunes, but I couldn't find the best ones
-
I think featured in "Green Card" too
-
Nice ones, Susy...I dig those ethereal sounding songs ....yours inspired this one from the Soundrack ...SWEET NOVEMBER...
-
Hey "Sweet November" with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron...I'm one of the few who saw that, Claudia, and I even penned a short somewhat favorable review. Had a kind of "Love Story" plot, I usually prefer romantic comedies to romantic dramas, but "Sweet November" did have a couple of chuckles, as I recall, despite the tragedy. Heart warming. Did you see that film, and like it? I'm loving this thread--since I'm a music AND movies buff. You did good, George Goode

Yes, Susy, it was kind of a "sleeper film", but I enjoyed it aswell. I prefer romantic comedies over dramas too, but this film was played out on a lighter note if I remember correctly, and I very much enjoy both actors, so it was a win/win situation. Funny, things that you retain in your mind, I'm just thinking now that I really liked the decor of her apt. in the film..lol. we woman are funny that way aren't we? Hey, I'll do a movie trailer on this film on the other thread just for you Oh, and I'm a music and movie buff too ...can you tell???
-
me too, I recall loving her apartment, in San Francisco wasn't it...and also I think, liking her outfits. Her character was really a free spirit who loosened up Keanu's workaholic character. Yes would love to see the trailor

Beautiful French chanson, Claudia! I plan to share it with a few of my French Net pals. I believe they'd enjoy it. I sure did. Thanks
-
Glad you enjoyed it, Susy ..IT truly is a "piece of musical ambrosia" isn't it. I remember years ago, when I first heard it, I couldn't wait to learn the chord changes to play it...I am totally smitten with this song! Here's another with the same kind of feel....sorta.

Hey that sounds real nice. Relaxing yet gently stimulating, made me remember "Eugene from the Argentine," whom I once knew. Had emigrated to be an electrician in Port Chester, N.Y. Which doesn't sound very romantic, but I met him at a posh New Age-y gathering place in Rye, N.Y. For a short while he was the boyfriend of my zen meditation teacher. When I found out the way he dumped her, I got disillusioned with him. It was so typical, and I'd thought him rather special

Yeah Susy, it's jazzy, laid back and sensual, isn't it. I can see why it made you think of "EuGENE from the ArgenTINE"....very cute, btw, and I bet he was aswell ..those latins' are sumpum' else! even tho' your friend turned out to be a big disappointment...makes me think of Antonio Banderas.... achi wa wa!! Oh, and before I forget, I am quite familiar with Port Chester, NY...my best friend here in Towne grew up there...believe that??? ..here we go again!! and, when I was in High School, our annual boat trips were to Rye Beach NY Playground, so there you have it...."And the beat goes on"... Antonio Banderas - CANCION DEL MARIACHI (he can show me some "CLASSICAL" moves anytime!
-
Hee hee, I've been to Rye Playland and even went in swimming there. BTW, I think you must be 'psychic," Claudia (I am too, a little)...oooh we're 'spooky' (appropriate for this time of year!)... Antonio used to be my favorite supplanted by Javier Bardem. However, Antonio is in Woody Allen's latest movie "You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger." Perhaps his career is looking up again. Some thought Melanie Griffith jinxed his stardom chances somehow... karma wasn't right. Or something. He's hot in your video

I love that Dave Brubeck/"Take Five"-style version of "Hard Day's Night" on the original '64 Beatles soundtrack LP. Swingin'!
-
Yeah, Susy that's the place..."PlayLAND" , not "PlayGROUND"...sorry. We had such a great time there and the boat ride over was always a blast dancing to the band on board...we were extatic!! Okay, so you made me laugh out loud, AGAIN, when you said we were 'SPOOKY" and approp for the season!! You are so cute, I swear!! I don't know what to tell you about this "psychic" thing I have...I just get these mind connections and I'm just as amazed by them as you are, and it's nothing that I can force to happen...it just comes without any provocation on my part, so I just kinda go with the flow. Oh, and Javier Bardem is a great actor...very intense --he commands the screen in anything I've ever seen him in. I'll have to look out for that new film with Antonio too...title sounds intriguing!

Audi...I love the Dave Brubeck group...as a matter of fact, I learned to play that song "Take Five" many years ago on my friends saxaphone cause I loved the song so much I'll have to check out that Hard Day's Night song played in that style..don't believe I've ever heard it.
