please show all of your great work in the new FB page dedicated to paul, to be celebrated once a month on the 18th - you'll see the link for it in Not Such a Bad Boy...no, it's right here in this forum!!!!!!
of course patpatpatti, I'd be glad to. Thanks justdippee, Paulmusic and hey_kittay.. here's another drawing, of Linda, I love the soft focus image, and it was the sleeve for her Wild Prairie single. It's always very emotional I find at Paul's shows when he performs 'My Love' a song he wrote for Linda, and a song I was listening to ....on my ipod, whilst doing the drawing, it's such a beautiful song and a lovely tribute for Linda by Paul. Kevin. I've put it in a frame and this is it on my wall...you'll have to excuse the wallpaper! (I didn't choose it).
Hi Kevin! You captured Linda's amazing beauty. I do love the soft focus image technique too, it has a dream - like quality. I think when Paul sings My Love it is such a lovely thing. Even when I hear it on the radio or wherever it touches my heart. BTW> i like your wallpaper. I think i have seen similar wallcovering somewhere before. I noticed it before in a previous photo, it must be popular, huh?

Wow Kevin... I really love this one of Linda... She was so beautiful

I noticed it before in a previous photo, it must be popular, huh? Thanks heykittay, you're right about the dream like association. Reminds me there are a few songs with dream influences, No9 Dream by John Lennon, 'Lovers in a Dream' by Paul recently.... I'm sure there are lots of others.... very surreal. I agree My Love is a very beautiful song. Must be very popular wallpaper, I bet every house in the UK has similar! I personally like the old wallpaper at Forthlin Road, Paul's old house! and John Lennon's old wallpaper at Menlove Ave, with the old fashioned 1940's chip design in....so long ago. I can just imagine John and Paul jamming in that front porch or whether they were allowed to practice then in Liverpool. I know what it's like, I'm sometimes relegated to my leaking cold studio outside to paint! I don't make much noise but paint can get everywhere! Swiftly following on from the soft focus Linda drawing, I found this old grainy picture of Paul, and again tried to do a drawing of it soft focus again.... Paul in 1963 with Beatle haircut and colarless suit on stage. here are some deatils, which look very abstract..... when close up. the drawing 'comes together' when from a distance....a mile away! When I look at other people's art works I always like to be able to see close up at the individual marks that make up the whole image. Also the dual play between the image and material object it's been created on... the weave of the paper etc.. 2-d and 3d together. Kevin.

I think this is my favorite one of Paul right now. (I keep saying that!) But really it gives me a good energy to see this one. Your wallpaper was actually seen here where I live in the USA, so it is quite popular! I love your new one of Paul above too! ahhh! So many beautiful pieces. Thankyou for sharing KW, it makes us all so happy!

It is a special experience....and there are a range of emotions..which make Paul's shows so unique and great to be at! This is another up and coming painting I've just done, and the familiar image used for the tour.. Kevin.

Very well done. You're quite talented.
Thanks Magical Mystery Girl, glad you like the pictures.. Flaming Pie is one of my favourite albums by Paul, and the cover is a marvellous soft focus photograph by Linda. 'Beautiful Night' is such a great song, as is 'Calico Skies' and 'Little Willow'... all the songs work really well together. here is a drawing I've done of it, and put on my wall next to the drawing of Linda..

I love them all. How much would you ask for one framed piture?

Kevin... These two look perfect together.... I love them!!! Are you selling any copies? I really enjoyed the part above about the weave of the paper and the close up... that's what I love about paintings in a museum. I love to get really close and look at the brush strokes.... then stand back and see whats hiding in plain sight... Thanks for sharing Kevin

I love the Flaming Pie one of Paul. The two portraits together on the wall are so nice. Of course those belong together. I must admit that I feel weird with the 'Up and Coming Tour' photo they used of Paul...his expression scares me, it is like he is mad. I never liked it. I am not an artist, but I love art, and I am really into my new discovery of faces hidden in art. Like the article below I found: http://www.artist-perspectives.com/articles/hendriksen.htm I notice that Paul and James do this in some of their art. I really love it.

Thanks for sharing Kevin Thanks love2travel, I agree that it's important to look at art close up and also stand back to see how the small brush stokes, or pencil marks combine to form the whole image. When you look close up there's an abstract quality, and when moved back a more recognizable form appears. Not sure about how you can obtain a copy, maybe the administrater can sort something out? Kevin.

Thanks hey_kittay, you have to be a bit mad to be a musician or artist I think hey_kittay! It is an usual photo and I suppose striking.... all emotions are part of life. That's great that you're interested in hidden faces in art, I was also looking into Celtic hidden faces in their artwork, there are some marvellous stylised multiple faces combined in some of their ancient art. back to the future, or rather recent past. Doing the Flaming Pie album image inspired me to do another artwork based on one of Paul's albums. So I wanted to do a painting that represented the simply titled 'McCartney' album from 1970. It is from a great photo by Linda, and there is an orange/yellow light which is unusual, not sure what time of day the photo was taken but as I was doing the painting I noticed this unusual light, which I've tried to portray. Kevin.

It's great that Band on the Run is being re-issued again, and here is a drawing I've done. It's fairly large, and I've used pencil, Indian ink and charcoal for a change. Measures 50cm x 78cm unframed. Hopefully the Band on the Run re-release will do well, and can't wait to buy a copy when issued. Kevin.

Kevin. Hey Kittay, I have to agree with you on that photo of Paul, in the Up and Coming... to me it looks like he just got done yelling at someone!! I don't really like it much either. That was a really interesting article about hidden faces. Do you have any examples of Paul, or James with their hidden things in their art? Just wondering.... I really loved James album cover. I can't wait to see it up close. I wonder how he did some of that photography and whether it was photo shopped. What it looked like to me, was the roots of a tree that had fallen. I really like the light shining on him on the cover photo.... and I wonder if that just showed up in the picture. I have one that I just took of Wix where that happened... anyway, it made me think of Linda.... when I saw it, and then I saw the one of James it really struck me the same way... really nice!!! And I just saw what looked like a hidden face in the guitar strap that you did Kevin... cool I also like the hidden animals in the Celtic art. Someone I know had a tattoo of a Celtic knot with a fish in it and another one with a snake. Kevin, love the new painting of Paul from Linda's photo of Paul & Mary... always loved that one, you did an excellent job of it... Wow you are really fast!!! I didn't realize that I missed so many paintings!!! Thanks so much for sharing them, they are wonderful!!!

ooooh, ahhhhh! I just LOVE the Scottish farm portrait. And the BOTR...gee such detail! Oh, yes I meant Paul looked angry in the up and coming tour photo. I know Paul must be mad, we here are all mad. I think photo must be trying to portray a victorious, triumphant, return you know? And it does if look at it that way, but on first glance he just looks angry. I like the sweet Paul. Thanks for sharing Kevin. You need to hold an exhibit so we can all visit your collection.

Thanks love2travel and hey_kittay, I agree Paul looks a bit agitated..but I think he's just kidding, and is very playful on stage as a performer.... he puts so much energy into his performances that creates lots of different expressions! Non serious however, he does like to interact with the audience and is a born performer! Ringo Starr called his book 'painting is my madness'! and I think once did a song called 'drumming is my madness'! Continuing with the idea of paintings for albums, I've picked 'Run Devil Run' and done a painting associated with that release. Paul does some great cover versions, that show he is equally superb at rock'n'roll as other types of music! Great versions, I was listening to it as I was painting the picture.... 'No other baby' is performed really well, and I love 'Blue Jean Bop'...it's such a great album and I find Paul's love of those songs really comes through.. I like the colours in this one, unusual use of light. Kevin.

a drawing I've just done of the very talented musician Glenn Aitken. His album 'Extraordinary Lives' is superb.. the lead track 'Ordinary People' is a beautiful song and Paul plays bass on it. My favourite studio album at the moment. Kevin.

This is a painting I've done of Paul during the Let it Be album period, It's avery poignant and beautiful moment of the film when Paul is sat at the piano singing 'Let it Be'....there is a certain sadness evoked for me.
