...Kind of makes senses if you spent a few zillion trillion to fight terrorism that securing your own boarder first is a good place to start...
The only problem with walls is they always end up being a lot better at keeping folks in than out. Just ask the people in [former] East Berlin.

Paul joked about Bush, as you can see here:
John Boehner is demanding Paul will apologies. In my opinion, Paul doesn't need to apologies. Paul is not Anti-Bush, he was just making a JOKE!!!! -
It's RIDICULOUS that someone is asking Paul to apologies, when in fact, it's a FREE country and there is no problem to tell a JOKE about a former-president.

I was going to say, "Let's see ... Bipedal ... Sentient Brain ... of course he's Anti-Bush!" but I thought that might be a low blow. Then I thought better of it -- this is The Usurper Bush we're talking about here -- No blow is too low!

Why do you keep referring to him as the usurper?
-
If I talked about the person who had the job that I now do for one and a half to two years later .... I might be thought of as not capable of doing the job if I kept blaming the person before me. Perhaps even incompetent. I likely would not be able to keep my job if I kept blaming the previous person. (by the way ... I never did ... I stepped in to do what the job required). Bush is long gone (except when needed with Bill Clinton to raise money for a natural disaster). A smart person knows that.

Thank you for cutting my food for me. Except: 1) he actuslly was duly lected as president, 2) he was reelected four years later and 3) he served for eight years in office.

btw that's the way the constitution works.....the supreme court rules whether you agree with the judgment or not. oh, before I forget.....the electoral college elects the president, not the general population.

Yes, sir Paul insisted it was a joke in this article http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/mccartney-refuses-to-apologise-for-bush-gag_1149307# Despite what he said in the article I suspect he wouldn't have made the joke if he really respected Bush. Anyway, that's not really political debate, so I'll leave it there for imagining his motives.

Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words:
You must be kidding. Are there still people out there who don't know what the Supreme Court ruling was in this case? The court did not say Bush won the election. The question put to the court was, "Can Al Gore violate election law and have only a partial recount instead of a state-wide recount?" Gore wanted to ignore Florida election law and cherry pick which counties to recount. The court said, no, you have to follow the law. Recount all the votes or forget it. Some independent entities then took it upon themselves to see what would have happened if Gore had had his way, and were dismayed to find they couldn't count the votes to Gore's benefit. Bush was the winner by tiny margins every time. So, even if the court had decided in Gore's favor and allowed him his partial recount, Bush still would have won. Get over it. And what is this "52%" on the poster? Gore certainly didn't have 52% of the vote.

of course, if the person who held the same job before you arrived had burned the building down, had brought the company to the the brink of bankruptcy, had destroyed relations with all the vendors and customers, whose policies had let the companies buildings and physical plants crumble and even had those policies build an unhealthy food system which endangered the health of employees who ate in the company cafeteria. And the person who held the job before you had been responsible for distributing the profits so that 1/10 of 1% took in more than 11% of total income leaving the rest of the workers unable to really prosper and in stagnant positions. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/14/opinion/14herbert.html?_r=2&ref=opinion. Well, if you were working on those problems and having some good success in righting the ship I should think you would be given the time necessary to really turn the company around. A large company in bankruptcy usually takes several years to work it's way out. One of the largest countries in the world should at least be given that amount of time.

How about a Democrat blaming a Democrat : Hold onto your hat - it gets worse than that ... btw - I wasn't trying to set a rhyme Carter says Kennedy delayed health care years ago 16 Sept. 2010 (CBS) The late Sen. Ted Kennedy, champion of the recent health plan legislation, actually delayed comprehensive coverage for Americans for decades, says former President Jimmy Carter. It was Kennedy's actions to kill Carter's own health care bill that made Americans wait more than 30 years for meaningful coverage, says Carter in an interview with "60 Minutes" correspondent Lesley Stahl. complete account: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/09/16/60minutes/main6872344.shtml also see Associated Press coverage ...
