RE: Royal Wedding - Prince William to Marry Kate Middleton
SusyLuvsPaul:
I wonder why they have child bridesmaids instead of grown ones...is it so the bride will stand out more and possibly not be 'upstaged' by a bridesmaid beauty? It's a charming tradition, though.
It seems you may be reading too much into a tradition in Britain.

As far as ?insults? are concerned, only the trivial Sally ranks supreme in that regard. I said earlier that there is a difference between conservatives in the UK and the US To quote Sally: ?The Tories follow the same economic principals of low or no taxation for the wealthy or corporations? No they do not. According to the NYTimes on April 14: "Other notable differences suggest that even Europe?s most conservative party is markedly to the left of the mainstream Republican position in the United States, and in some ways is more liberal than the position Mr. Obama has taken. To strike a political balance, the coalition government led by Prime Minister David Cameron of the Conservative Party, Mr. Osborne ? himself a Conservative ? has retained a 50 percent income tax rate on the wealthiest individuals. That is among the highest in Europe, and it imposes more of a burden on the rich than anything Mr. Obama or anyone else in Washington would find politically feasible.? To suggest that republicans/conservatives in the US are the same as those in the UK is highly inaccurate

Be very afraid that sally can't tell the difference between the US and UK liberalism/conservatism. Pity.
Shouldn't you do some research before blurting out something like that...you really don't know what you're talking about that's very apparent
Point in fact I do, having lived in the UK for a time. You can do all the "research" you want on the internet, unless you live the circumstances it doesn't mean anything. That's quite apparent in your case having proved that too many times.
well, you didn't learn anything there looks like you're mixing up the lib-dems with the labour party The conservatives there are the tories.
Sorry no dear....do stop stating what you apparently googled. Tories aren't the same as conservatives here. I certainly wouldn't proclaim that American definitions rank over other countries as you apparently do. Glad to see that you proven yourself ignorant yet again (sigh).

There are twice as many people in Government as there is in Manufacturing. Which means the taxpayer has really has a lot of work to do to support this heavy load. 48 out of the 50 States have more people in Government than in Manufacturing in their own States.
Is it possible that manufacturing has been off shored in the past years?? Although manufacturing shoes, clothes etc in the USA were possible in the 19th century, I don't understand why such a mature economy as the US would do so in the 21st?? Can you help me out here??
Mature economy ... maybe, but perhaps also aged, that is over aged. I think some manufacturing still needs to exist in order to keep an edge and not loose out in a BIG way. I'm thinking of brilliant minds watching "amazing machines" at work and getting ideas for improvements ...
I'd agree with you about some manufacturing....perhaps it's the type that needs work I remember when "made in japan" was thought to be inferior

Britons fear Libya becoming another Iraq -poll Tue Mar 29, 2011 * Seven of 10 Britons fear Iraq-style conflict * Almost half disapprove of the intervention LONDON, March 29 (Reuters) - Seven out of 10 Britons think coalition forces enforcing a no-fly zone in Libya could get sucked into another Iraq-style conflict, a poll showed on Tuesday. complete article: http://af.reuters.com/article/libyaNews/idAFLDE72S08220110329?sp=true
Republicans were in office when we got involved in Iraq. Are you saying that Republicans make more war than Liberals and Democrats do?
Here's a question for you - which party is responsible for the only use of nuclear weapons (i.e atom bomb) against an enemy in all of history?
Of all possible political parties in life...there is probably a reason why the democratic party was in office when we discovered the atom bomb
Ending a six year world wide war and saving many from further destruction.
