JordanOnTheRun:
I was at the cardiff show And the one where you think Pauls doing Paperback writer in the sketch, he's on the bass and in PW he played the Epiphone Casino
Thanks JordanOnTheRun....for clearing that oops up. Knew I'd got it wrong... Paperback writer was on my mind for some reason, perhaps because I love the way Paul is doing the song live now, I went to the 02 London last year and it really rocked there! Kevin. Here's one I've done, a watercolour of Paul, John, George and Pete in the Cavern 1961! We can only imagine what it was like, unless you were lucky enough to have been there... Those were the days...

Very cool. And Abbey Road or Hello Goodbye music video would be interesting to see

Thanks JordonOnTheRun, Hello Goodbye would be good, with the very colourful uniforms.. I've done a painting of a very talented new musician - Glenn Aitken, who's new single is superb... 'Ordinary People' and Paul plays bass on it! I keep playing his music, inbetween Paul's of course, whilst painting on my ipod! Ordinary People is such a beautiful song, I keep playing it..... Glenn also has a new album called ' Extraordinary People' which is really great.. especially like the tracks 'Immortalized'... ''Underground'.....'Something New'.........'Warning Signs'...... but the're all great tracks! Really highly Recommended...I found it on itunes, but also on Amazon..superb music, and Paul plays on it as well! Kevin here is a watercolour painting I've done of Glenn Aitken...

here is a watercolour painting I've just done of Paul, again another old Hamburg picture....from about 1960..... Kevin.
-
...still in the early days.... I've done this painting of the Beatles.... thought it would be an idea to photo the work as I was doing it...! To see how it progresses, or doesn't progress..! Anyway, the finished painting watercolour I've just done is below I'll try and put the sequence up of how it came into being shortly.... should show the creative process and all my mistakes along the way... Not sure how to upload it, as it's video.... I'll try and find a way. Kevin.
-
I've put the making of...video on youtube -
and I'll post some of the initial creation of the painting here sorry if it's a bit like blue Peter...! I would have added music to the video but didn't want to infringe on any copyrights! But I would have chosen Paul singing Fine Line...so if you could imagine the song while viewing! ...phew..... finished.... Kevin. -
...still in the past....further back the Quarrymen played the New Clubmoor Hall in Liverpool....and I believe Paul made his first public Quarrymen debut there....in about 1957.. This is my interpretation of it....from a famous photograph- with a bit of artistic licence.... watercolour on paper..P.S Paul's guitar is actually upside down, it's not a painting error! Kevin.

The Clubmoor painting is based on original photograph by Leslie Kearney again, I've photographed the evolution of the painting on youtube.... [/url]

The Clubmoor one looks like the scene from Nowhere boy

I must confess I havn't seen the film yet....but will take your word for that JordonOnTheRun, thanks.

here is a painting I've done of John and Paul looking really smart in suits and ties. Circa 1962.... Kevin.
-
This is a watercolour I've done of the Beatles at the Cavern, Ringo is only just visible...behind Paul...1962.... Kevin. This is how it developed - at the start as a drawing -

Do you do new ones every day? You always seem to have more every day

Very prolific JordonOnTheRun, once I get going...! each day brings a new picture...sometimes 2..depends. Somedays none.... in fact some weeks none...isn't unusual as there are often less important daily things to do like eating and sleeping! I do suffer for my art..........sigh. Seriously.....I just paint when I feel like it, and recently I've been in creative mode for some reason...... Kevin.

thanks love2travel, here is a drawing I've done of Paul with Her Majestey the Queen... 1996....and some onlooker in the background... I'm a fan of the Royal Family also, and have a lot of repect for the Queen.......hope I've depicted her OK, as I don't want to spend the rest of my days in the Tower of london....although could still paint and draw in there! and it is a marvelous Norman building, from the time of William the Conqueror! As he's better known. But I saw a documentary on the Tower once and it's had some famous residents, inc.. the Krays and Guy Fawkes to name a couple .... Don't think I'd like to spend the night with all those spooky ghosts though.... Back to the drawing, it must be really proud moments for Paul whenever he meets the Queen, I've only ever seen her on the TV! But she always dresses and looks fantastic.... 'Imagine she's a pretty nice girl, and one day I'm gonna make her mine'.... oh yeah..... 'Her Majesty' by Paul. Kevin

Kevin Willetts:
looking back....'through the mists of time' as Paul would have said..to 1993. Here is a painting I've done of Paul live in 1993 - Earl's Court London. Based on a photograph by J Gracen. Paul never seems to age, the painting I did at the top of the page from 2010 - it could have been Paul in the Beatles at Shea Stadium... reminded me of that for some reason! Kevin.
Love to see your new art KW. I like the portrait of Paul above, it reminds me of what I think he looks like the best.

Thanks hey_kittay, glad you like the live painting of Paul... I also really admire Paul's paintings, especially the one's that look very spontaneous.... he has so much talent... music, poetry, painting.... to me his painting are very modern and expressive. I like the way he is influenced by Celtic art, and the experimentation he does as the 'Fireman' in his music. He is such an inspiration to me. I can see a fascination of making marks and brush strokes in his painting, which is very advanced. Kevin. Love to see your new art KW. I like the portrait of Paul above, it reminds me of what I think he looks like the best.

Thanks Kiriwana, you're very kind. I love Wings, and there were some tremendous albums. I like Wildlife as it is so spontaneous and sounds so fresh it could have been recorded yesterday! Mumbo and Bip Bop....etc..
