Does Paul care about his fans getting tix to concerts?
-
Paul knows how much his fans enjoy seeing him perform in person, so he keeps on hitting the road 'cos he enjoys it as much as we do

AND...he knows how much we will pay to see him perform.

And therein lies the problem.

The almighty dollar! That is what he's out there for. Sure he loves to play but it's a lot easier with that kind of money!

There's no need for him to play for the money.

Well of course he doesn't NEED the money...but there is an old saying... he who dies with the most toys wins! And the money gets you the toys! So when & where will all the free concerts be???

GYPSYGIRL:
Well, according to the latest news, there will be 6 more chances to score tix to Paul concerts this year!
still hasn't been announced yet.

I don't trust Jorie, Marinucci or MaccaCentral until it's officially announced. All three sites steal from other sites and all thrive on "exclusives".
Amen. Weren't the rumors that he was gonna play Italy in Sept? And Chicago? And NYC? I'm pretty sure nothing is going to happen in Sept. He won't announce them with this short notice.
Maybe he'll get possessed by his younger self when Wings first went on tour and showed up at college campuses to play on short notice. Just joking.

I've seen Paul "live" four times in my life, twice when he was with the Beatles and twice as a solo performer. I never saw Wings in concert, regretably. Both times the last two concerts tickets went on sale at a certain time and TicketMaster was the only way to acquire them unless you wanted to risk going to the box office day of concert or try to rangle some from a scalper. I am currently registered through the venue here and I get alerts ahead of time. When Paul came here in July, there was an early sale for AmEx card holders. As much as I thought this would help get good seats for four people, it did not unless we wanted to pay $250 each to sit on the floor level. One of us had to sit somewhere else, but that was OK. I do know for a fact, however, that the artists do not control certain aspects of their concert tours. They select cities according to the size of the venue there and then the promoters and venue decide on the ticket prices in accordance to what they need to clear in profit and what the artist is going to get, or so I was told once. The tickets did not go up in price in the span of eight years that I saw Paul. I paid $88.50 per ticket this time and $120 the last time. Seats were relatively the same quality. Side note, I paid, or I should say my Dad paid, $6.50 a ticket to see the Beatles in concert back when I was fifteen. Those were days, right? Cheers, L

What? You actually get notices from the website? Sadly I do not though I signed up with two e-mail addressess. One got the canadian notices and for some reason, both got the Band on the Run notice that was just sent, but that is all and I hope it wasn't a fluke.

Maybe since you just got the band on the run stuff...you made the list! Hope you get the next ones too!

Let me clarify, I get alerts through the venue where the concerts are held. My alert came from Sprint Center concerts here in my city. I just got one from them the other day giving me the heads up on the upcoming Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets that are coming on sale. It helps. Cheers, L

It really doesn't matter if you receive the email alerts from here or not. The information for this summer's tour was posted on the home page along with the passcode. You can also get passcodes by googling the name of the artist and venue many times. I got the one for a show where I live that way. I am also signed up for alerts with the venues that I am most interested in and get early access to tickets that way. I did call one venue when the tickets using that code were not very good and the ones using the pm.com site were even worse and was told that some of the good seats have to be sold on the first day of the general sale at that venue. I didn't want to take any chances, so I bought the $550 package and it was worth it.

The passcode here is the same every time anyway

And as usual, it all comes down to how much we're willing to stick on our credit cards

Exactly. So people should stop moaning about not getting emails.

^You get more than just passwords through the emails, don't you?

I don't get these e-mails but I'm pretty sure they don't provide you more info than is posted on pm.com.

I got the notice about Band on the Run, but it's the same as on the website. It's nothing top secret. The only time there was anything like that was the tour (2005?) where we received individual passcodes.

At least we're kept informed here & it's truth, not rubbish like other rumour mongers
