T Bone Burnett will have a 'revue' show in Boston too, around the end of October and I'll get the dates for you, Claudia, I think you're not too terribly far from there? Maybe you can attend There's a slightly different line up but includes many of the same, I'll find out. Burnett said he so enjoyed going out with Bob Dylan's 70s "Rolling Thunder Revue" show that he wanted to do something similar, only a lot fewer gigs.
Ahh...thanks, Sweets...good to know! Funny, I was just on FACEBOOK chatting with my Brooklyn buds...there's was a pic posted there of THE BANDSHELL in Prospect Park, Bklyn where we use to hang out as kids ...my brother's band use to play there. Now...it accommodates all big name acts and they were talking about the fact that a couple of them saw DYLAN right there last year and said it was great!! I'd love to go down there and see a concert...what a nostalgic rush that would be. Alright...now I'm gonna listen to some of these tunes you've posted. You post great tunes anyway, but you always seem to have a way of hitting with some that speak to me right where I'm at. Must be some kind of synchronic thing!!

Thanks so much for posting this song "Sally's Pidgeons", VB...I was very moved by it! That was (not literally) my best friend, Michelle and I the video...I swear, even the pidgeons were appropo...it evoked a very special memory from my youth! The Beatles had just emerged on the scene and we were totally smitten! Michelle lived on the top floor of this apt. building, and I remember we would enjoy our apples dipped in cinammon and sugar, as we gazed over the massive roof before us, that housed a bunch of pidgeons that her brother Dennis was caring for. They would coo madly as we looked out and went into our fantasy! The fantasy was that we were, in fact, in ENGLAND itself Being so high up, we could see for miles and miles the most incredible architectural conglomeration I have ever laid eyes upon....it was absolutely breathtaking everytime we did it, and it really did look like jolly ole' ENGLAND, where we longed to be near to our precious John, Paul, George and Ringo!! Needless to say, I'll be passing this video on to Michelle...I'm sure she'll be equally touched! Thanks again!
That's a great memory, Claudia. Thanks for sharing. Here's another one for you.

The T Bone Burnett Speaking Clock Review with all those good performers is Oct. 16 in Boston and Oct.20 in Manhattan, Claudia With Neko Case, Leon Russell, Elton John, Elvis Costello, Jeff Bridges, and more. T Bone said he'd had such a ball on Bob Dylan's 1970s "Rolling Thunder Revue" that he decided to go for it on a smaller scale.

Thanks for that info, Suze! Hey, I know you're into Jeff's music and I haven't heard much of it except when I saw the movie "Crazy Heart". Not into country so much, but I really liked what I heard in the film...I was also quite impressed with Collin Farrell??? Anyway, one of my beginner guitar students wants to learn one of Jeff's songs so I figured I'd tube it up here and have a listen so I would be familiar with it....sooo here it is.....enjoy! I like it! FALLING AND FLYING - Jeff Bridges

Thanks, Claudia That isn't my favorite kind of music, I like to be openminded and try to appreciate most genres. Bridges' 2000 album he made is more 'artsy' in sound and lyrics, more original and quirky. But his "Crazy Heart" numbers have something too.

Geez, Susy, what a dynamite clip! As I mentioned before..."birds of a feather...." Just listening to those songs clips of Leons' was quite emotional - made me realize what a huge fan I was/am as well, and I admit to fogetting about him to boot....his early influences and collaborations with artists like Joe Cocker and of course, and Elton's early albums was just phenominal...kudos to Eton for giving him his just due, and contributing to his resurgence! Okay, couldn't resist digging out a tune from my old fave album "Mad Dogs and Englishmen".. I just played "With a Little Help" a while ago, so let's go with this one which I also love.... Enjoy!
