Where to begin. I guess staying blissfully ignorant or spouting propoganda lines is why voters in this country get just what they deserve. Obama is a very nice and likeable man; great smile,....but he did none of those things...or very little else except "look" Presidential and give nice speeches. He acts perturbed that every-day-hard-decision requirements or natural disasters that come along intrude on his "Being Obamaesque." This country is about to go into foreclosure itself, but he can't be part of making any unpopular/hard decisions that need to be made to stave it off. He can't risk not being re-elected. The Bush is pure evil/Obama is God-like is such utter nonsense.
Bush is pure evil... ...Obama as one person has to deal with the effects off all of Bush cronies. There still pulling him down. However he has left the very people who caused these bad economic times in position of power and they should not be. ... I want to know who sitting on all the money? It went somewhere.
Not enough heads rolled in this picture.
Here's one more...

The bush apologists line up. Obama is doing a brilliant job and will be ranked with Roosevelt etc. The republicans just don't recognize brilliance because they don't have it and haven't seen it in modern times. They are the party of incompetence and corruption.
This is an interesting comparison. Franklin Roosevelt entered office during a catastrophic economy, as did Obama. When Roosevelt unwillingly left office the economy was much better and improved in years to come. Will Obama be able to say the same? Roosevelt steered his nation successfully through a catastrophic war on two theatres. When he died both wars were all but won. Will the USA still be in Iraq and Afghanistan when Obama leaves office? Roosevelt promised more jobs and less corruption, and delivered both. Obama promised to end the wars and close the prison in Cuba. If Obama can do what he said he would do when the American people put him in office, he will most likely be remembered as a great president. If he does none of those things for which his people entrusted him, history will not remember him well.

Hilary Clinton will be a viable candidate for President in 2016, I read, and could win then. She is doing a good job and has a good rating, is popular among many in the U.S.
This I would like to see. She seems to be the most intelligent person in Washington. At least of those giving interviews.

Hi al Sabah, Hope you are well, FDR had 12 years to accomplish his successes for which I am grateful. I hope Obama is given 8 years and then at the end of that time I can make another evaluation. It takes a lot of time to effect change especially with so much obstructionism.

We can no longer put off the inevitable. We must discuss WEINERGATE!!

Men have been talking about their weiners since the beginning of time...

I'd claim that pic.

personally, I would rather hang out with two accomplished women...than... any single man...who is preoccupied...with his own hot dog

I just think it's funny to watch yet another self righteous blowhard politician parsing his words oh so carefully when he's exposed himself to be every bit as sleazy as all of his detractors claim he is. This guy's attempts at damage control, especially the press conference where he wound up calling the reporter from CNN a jackass, have been unintentionally hilarious.
-
I love the Congressman. He's as sharp, passionate and dedicated as they come. I wish he'd run for President. As long as he didn't send the photo to an un-wanting source, I have no issue with the d-ck pic.

So it's ok for a married man in a position of social leadership to do that, then start fretting to the press about how their coverage of the incident might affect his marriage? A bit hypocritical, I think. Also, to stay with your hypothetical situation in which he did actually send it, then he's an outright liar for blaming it on a hacker And you don't care about that?

That about sums it up.

Weiner?s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Interview ... But he still wouldn?t say whether he?s the one in the picture. So CBS 2 political reporter Marcia Kramer decided to go to his office on Capitol Hill to try to get you some answers. ... http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/06/02/weiner-says-hes-done-talking-about-twitter-photo-time-to-get-back-to-work/

Maybe - but I gotta feeling his political career to NYC Mayor or President is through ... The weener jokes & 'what really happened' talk (or whispers behind his back) will live on despite his silence approach

That about sums it up.
I have two questions for you: I believe you're sincere about your wholehearted admiration and support for Weiner, even if he did send the picture, but was there a time in your life when you held the public leaders that you support to a higher standard (ie, that they not be hypocritical liars)? The second question, which you don't have to answer if you don't want to: are you married?

John Edwards has been indicted, they want to get him and built up their case the past two years since the scandal happened, assembled indisputable proof (they believe) and it's all quite chilling considering the high hopes Edwards engendered starting out, his progressive ideas some deemed brilliant and the possibility of another President from the South...then when I read Andrew Young's hair-raising book on Edwards I thought, thank God he didn't win. A movie is being made from Young's book, or so I heard, and it's going to be a real trip like the book, if they follow it. Still I'm mindful nothing's ever really black and white or cut and dried, or that few things in life are. I'd almost prefer to see Edwards rise somehow like a phoenix from the ashes and explain and redeem himself and show he wasn't really as bad as Young's book on him depicted. I'd somehow like for some of the charges not to be true...in fact, Edwards dined with Bunny Mellon last week at her opulent Virginia estate, the same Bunny Mellon whom it's charged unwittingly provided almost 800,000 dollars to Edwards' presidential campaign which instead was squandered on hiding his mistress, to concealing the scandal. I'd thought the most you can contribute to a politician for their campaign is around 2,000 dollars. What Mellon gave she just called a "gift." Why can't he get out of it that way? It might be kind of fascinating to watch this unfold. How adults could behave in such a manner...Young's book was almost unbelievable, can it be completely believed? He had a vested interest in making himself look better, Andrew Young was Edwards' trusted assistant and right hand man who even assumed responsibility for siring Edwards' lover's child, when in fact, it was John Edward's baby all along. I just read Elizabeth Edward's rather bitter and brilliant last book, "Resilliance" a book which also amazes. I used to think she should have run for President, not John Edwards. Her son Wade died at age 16, her husband, she felt, betrayed her, her cancer was fatal, and on top of everything else Young's book made her out to be a selfish, difficult harpie.

I hope Edwards gets prison. These politicians duke the public into believing there real candidates and what they are is raising large amounts of money and using for personal gain. Look at Palin she doing the same thing. She'll be next. We'll be hearing about some love child's of Todd's called Bark and Pine cone somewhere and she claim their hers.
