News Of The World hacking reports

I hope this is not true. I like Piers. I would never invade somebody's privacy like that. Never. Still, the quote seems a bit phony to me -- especially the part about singing "We Can Work It Out." C'mon. I call b.s.
I agree and would hope people here would give this aspect of the story to unfold before they pass judgement on Piers

The quote comes from an article that he wrote. Unlike most Brits (I think), I quite like Piers as well. But he was the editor of a tabloid newspaper for a long time, and a tabloid journalist long before that. Don`t pass judgement? Come on!

I should say that Morgan has changed his image a fair bit. Back when he edited the Mirror he was a weasely showbiz hack promoted seemingly beyond his station, launching a crusade against Blair's Iraq War more to boost newspaper sales than out of any conviction. No one took him seriously. Since then, and his sacking from the Mirror due to faked allied atrocity photos, he has put on weight and acquired gravitas, ironically only used now for crappy talent shows. He's actually taken seriously. But back at the Mirror, sure, he would have stooped pretty low if he could have.

I'm not entirely sad to say that Piers Morgan's problems haven't gone away just yet. And nor, I imagine, have those of the once-married Heather Mills and Paul McCartney. In 2006, Morgan wrote of having heard a touching voicemail left for Mills by McCartney after an argument. So touching was said voicemail, claims the bothersome blogger Guido Fawkes, that Piers played it to the Mirror newsroom so that any Beatles-loving colleagues might share the moment when Macca warbled "We Can Work It Out" to his wife. It's not so surprising that Morgan would have such privileged access to the inner workings of the Mills-McCartney relationship, since he always claims to have introduced them to one another, at the Daily Mirror "Pride of Britain Awards" in 1999

http://www.filmindustrynetwork.biz/piers-morgan-cnn-under-attack/12357 Piers Morgan under attack from all sidesReported by Iain Alexander on July 28, 2011 Piers Morgan is taking flak from all sides, from politicians to bloggers, newspapers and magazines. So what went wrong for the CNN host? Piers Morgan is a swine

Its reported that Piers will be stepping down from CNN. Howard Kurts asked if the media was being fair to Piers. : It called getting as good as you gave. i wonder how it feels to be on the receiving end? He called himself a friend of Paul's and than did this too him. Now these details are printed everywhere including Pier's Wikipedia. I know these editor hold a great deal of power but I would hope that Paul would stand up and sue Murdoch for this. If ever their a time to move on change it here and I hope Heather too. I hope she can sue for a bundle. Your in the middle of a divorce and these paper write painful and damaging stories that undermined your ability to get a fair settlement in a divorce because their wirier tapping your phone. What they did to her was way over the top. Like her or not. Than Piers has to give her one last lick by saying she'll never be on his show...maybe now she'll be hosting it! ..now you don't look so proud now you don't talk so loud.
-
I didn't care for Larry King on CNN, but have not enjoyed Piers Morgan either. I hope he does step down. Get some new blood there who doesn't have a hacking history.
-
Funny as I was reading this just now Newsnight on BBC2 just showed Macca & Heather Mills thingy being hacked.

Murdoch does not own the Mirror. Unfortunately, phone hacking did not just happen at the News of the World- why do you think the Daily Mail has had so little to say about it...? The incident is supposedly from 2001 and Piers` article was from 2006. However, Heather tapped Paul`s phone after the marriage fell apart. I think Heather and Piers are two of a kind!
-
As far as her wiring tapping Paul. Maybe all these leaks in the press made her think he was doing it to her. Paranoia runs deep. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/03/heather-mills-phone-hacking_n_917302.html?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl2|sec1_lnk3|83304 she attacking Piers and he rebuttal sounds like a typical attack against her. She lies who can believe her..Who believes him.. I think he is finished and the more he opens his mouth the more he going to get his..he played dirty with a lot of his co workers too. So I sure there a lot of people happy to spill the goods on him. Plus I don't think his show that good or the ratings. Sounds like he got mash potatoes in his mouth when he talks. Can't understand him and that upper crust accent isn't popular here. i support Heather on this. Do you think Paul will do a interview with Piers?
-
I don`t support either of them, they are as bad as each other. It`s taken Heather ten years to complain about this. Why would Paul do an interview with Piers? Heather has done, though. Strangely, it was in 2002/2003, so she was happy to talk tohim after she says he hacked her phone.

That's quite an article - I've been a fan of Pierce Morgan and this is certainly disappointing...And it's too bad that along with it, it has to dredge up the McCartney/Mills divorce up into the media mainstream again, I'm sure much to Paul's chagrin

It's about time that someone showed Murdoch he doesn't own the world and can't do whatever he wants. We're people too, buddy. Just like you. Everybody's got one. old arabic saying: Rich men, poor men, thin men, fat men, dull men, whitty men, without water, they're all dead. Think about it, rich man.

Piers Morgan should have his ass hauled back over here to answer some very serious questions. Wipe the smile of that smug face of his.
