"beatle-esque" songs by different bands

dance-tonight:
The Seahorses are good indeed, esp. the song 'Love is the Law'. The singer also looks like Lennon. (but Oasis are a far better band of course than Seahores)
it´s up to you who you like better. I just didn´t like that Liam looks stoned and bored all the time on stage. Quite a contrast to Macca whos seems to enjoy every second on stage and interacts with the audience a lot. Another band that should be interesting for Beatles fans is SEMISONIC or the solo album of the singer DAN WILSON -free life.

I always thought "Raspberries" were very Beatle influenced. Eric Carmen's voice was like a cross between Paul's and Steve Mariott's voice.

Think ELO are top notch but there is a slight similarity to Beatles tracks and obviously Oasis, with' Dont look back in the Anger' using the start of Imagine.

Cool interview with the drummer from Klaatu, the band that was rumored to be the Beatles in 1977:
The interview is from around the year 2000. Terry discusses the rumor, and how it was not their intention at all; they just wanted to be anonymous musicians who wouldn't get accosted by fans on the street (like Geddy Lee of Rush, fellow Canadians), so they didn't use their names or photos on the album. The rumor came out of nowhere and Capitol Records coyly stoked the mystery, and it caused a big sales spike, but then came the backlash when it became clear they were NOT the Beatles. (A shame, because their second and third albums were actually quite good; they made five altogether.) He also talks about the Beatles, and the magical productions of their later material, calling them "the classical music of the twentieth century." -
I always thought pre disco Bee Gees had a Beatle-esque sound
