btw, what are the 22 free downloads?...as far as I can tell, the original album and the CD full of bonus material only make up 20 tracks...So I guess I'm really asking, what are the two additional tracks?
Eat At Home/Smile Away live Uncle Albert Jam

I finally have RAM and am not disappointed! Love it so far. I had heard a few of the tracks before once I sat down to it, but the whole thing in all its glory is something else, stunning production and arrangement. Too Many People - what a BRILLIANT opener, and the main bit stuck in my head so far is that little horn melody from Admiral Halsey... Still have some bonus tracks I'm saving up...
I forgot you've never heard Ram! It's awesome isn't it! You're in for a treeat with the bonus tracks

cute video of Paul about Ram...

Got an email from Amazon--my RAM is due to arrive Tues. the 29th (I pre-ordered rather late and it is arriving along with 2 other things) It will be like Christmas when I get home after this weekend in Louisville!

Thanks a lot - I had thought I read those were on the CD with the bonus cuts, but must have been mistaken...either way, it'll be good to hear these - especially the live cut...Since I like those songs a lot (very little on Ram I don't like...and in fact can't even think of an example of something I don't like...maybe my least favorite is Long Hair Lady...but I don't dislike that one either)

Actually, Best Buy - they had one copy...I was mulling over what to as far as the full deluxe set is concerned, but dropped by that store to pick up the 2 CD pack when I saw they had that one deluxe version for a price cheaper than what I had seen advertised at another local chain (Newbury Comics)...$130-something compared to 99.99...it was still a few dollars more than Amazon, but I figured with the price of shipping and the immediate gratification factor hanging over my head, I'd just buy the deluxe set right then and there:-) The only thing I wish I would have gotten that I seen included in other 'deluxe' offers, but not this one is the Ram tshirt and the lithographsp)...but that wasn't a game changer in my mind

Anyone else come up against a message telling them that the downloaded files (in my case for the Ram Mono LP + Bonus Tracks) are "password protected" when trying to convert from flac to wav files?

Looking at the download card it says you get the twelve album tracks and the eight tracks off the bonus CD. That still leaves Eat at Home/Smile Away and Uncle Albert unaccounted for, what am I missing????

I don't think I was clear in my last post...I thought I had read that Eat at Home/Smile Way as well as Uncle Albert were on the bonus disk...Darth corrected me, and with the box set sitting next to me, I can plainly see these are not listed on the bonus CD...so you're not missing anything:-)

Thanks, appreciate it. Hate that I can't hear those live tracks. I wasn't a pioneer member and thought perhaps that was something reserved for them. I am a premium member now though, thanks to the free membership that came with the deluxe. At least we have an excellent version of Eat at Home on the DVD. Makes me long for an entire 1972 concert on DVD!

You can download Eat At Home/Smile Away and Uncle Albert Jam on itunes. That's how I got 'em!

Got it! Made my weekend. I am home with a cold, sore throat. Nothing worse than having that when it's 90 degrees plus outside.

I got you beat. I tripped & fractured my ankle (yes Nancy I went to the hospital), sprained my wrist & got a fat lip on this holiday weekend. ( Just watch out for that last step when you get me my mail... : and don't take the dog out there...she'll pull you over if she sees that cat again!)

You definitely have me beat. Here's hoping that you have a swift recovery. In the meantime... RAM ON!!!!

Fyi, Rolling Stone Magazine continues its passive-aggressive anti-Paul campaign. If you look at its latest issue and at its Web site, does this crap magazine -- on the week that Ram is being reissued -- feature a prominent review of Ram? Nope, it features on the front page of its Web site a review of George Harrison's new demos album -- an album that came out A MONTH AGO!!!!! And the Ram review which came out THIS WEEK? Is completely buried. You have to search for it. Both reviews are short. RS gives the Harrison album only 4 stars, and Ram gets 4 and a half stars. Yet the George review is put up front, while the Ram review is buried both on the Web site and in the issue. I rarely buy this idiotic magazine and I doubt I ever will again. Bunch of turds. Pitchfork is the review that matters anyway. 9.2. Best new reissue.

What's Rolling Stones problem with Paul? Never understood it!

What's Rolling Stones problem with Paul? Never understood it!
The magazine's owner, Jann Wenner, was obsessed with John Lennon. Not long ago I read an interview with Greil Marcus, a rock critic and editor who worked for Rolling Stone at one time. And in that interview, Marcus said that at the time of the release of Paul's first solo album, the initial review of the album from the reviewer for Rolling Stone Magazine was positive. Marcus said Wenner thought the review should be changed to a negative tone to reflect Wenner's belief that Paul had broken up the Beatles. Marcus actually admits in this recent interview that he and Wenner spent three hours pressuring the reviewer to change his review of McCartney from a positive to a negative tone. And succeeded. So people who wondered back then if Wenner had it in for Paul? Well it turns out he did. That pretty much says it all.
