I'd love to see The Eagles live...but they charge so much. :
Yeah--I saw Roger McGuinn solo several years ago and he was in great voice, although again it's been a good many years. Are the Eagles actually touring.
I saw McGuinn solo last year and he was fantastic. He was also a nice guy signing my cds. Back on the rumor mill: Straight from Facebook! Ah, bless Facebook and Twitter If we're going to start tracking every message/rumour/hint/ on those social networks - many of which are cross copied from sites like this where true rumour gets cross pollinated with ambition.. We're going to disappear into a maelstrom or vortex of confusion Fans On The Run is a member here as well.... Martin

Anyway, where do we stand with the Motown Historical Museums Steinway restoration Paul is helping fund? http://www.daylife.com/photo/00M0db70X38nz?__site=daylife&q=Motown+Historical+Museum I seem to recall it's return was to be celebrated with a gala event sometime when. It's a possibility, as the principle benefactor of the refurbishment, Paul might be invited - even to play a few notes as it was his disappointment in that regard that triggered the offer. I'll look around further. Martin

This Fans On The Run is not Rick but a facebook page for fans who are on the run after Paul. https://www.facebook.com/FansOnTheRun Anyway I'm hoping for the usual Christmas gigs... without them the year/the winter wouldn't be the same.

You're welcome mate. If a gig in the US is announced I hope I can make it so you can take me out to dinner.

Back on rumorland. I was just told there's a chance of Paul going back to Mexico and Brazil 2013 is almost fact. Costa Rica would be part of the Mexico tour as well. That's what I was told, don't shoot the messenger.

bottom line is that paul mccartney owes south america nothing...to him its just another continent or country. mccartney is a brit from irish heritage...he lived and brought alot of his kids up in scotland and his ex and current wives are american. apart from the countries mentioned, nowhere else has any significance. infact south america should think themselves lucky that hes been there at all...as was said earlier,im not sure even the beatles could be arsed and they went everywhere
I guess Mike, Paul's brother, did some research and they come from Scottish stock originally, not Irish. Just an interesting little tidbit.
You mean on his dad's side? Cause him mum was Irish, wasn't she?

I'd love to see The Eagles live...but they charge so much. :
I saw their "comeback" show in the mid '90's and tickets were $100 (a fecking fortune then!)

Yep, they were the first band to charge $100 a ticket, on that tour!

I had this EXTREMELY realistic dream that Paul had posted a whole list of places he was going to tour and also posted a minty fresh setlist for it. Then I woke up....
