Awww, another one bites the dust on the Millennium Hotel reservation!
I am pretty nervous after reading the reviews, not gonna lie. But - I've also read plenty that say it's fine just not super fancy. I suppose Akiboh and I can deal with that. Especially for the price. We couldn't afford anything more expensive... If it's as bad as they say...look out! We'll come crashing someone else's room!
I kid, I kid... Anything for Paul..
Haha! Let's be real...the room is really just a place to put our belongings and then freak out..
-
Yea until your possessions get ripped off...LOL

I have a question if anyone can answer. I got the hot sound package and was wondering they said they would send your package stuff the week before the concert, will it tell you what time to be there for the sound check? The reason I'm asking is because I did get my tickets but no info. Any help is appreciated.
No. You will get an email about 5 days before the concert and it will tell you when are where to meet. Good luck and have fun.

Hey Beatman- that's where my friends and I are staying, we'll be there Sat afternoon! Looks nice~

I looked at Sheraton online and saw no openings. May call tomorrow to see how price compares to where we are booked.

Hi Pood, Yes it does look like a nice place, and a short walk to the Scottrade Center, which makes it a great location.
I plan to get in sometime early Sunday afternoon.

The Millenium is showing up at around $120 now.
I found a $47 hotel, but it's 11 miles from the Scottrade Center. Anything to save some money at this point, as this trip is going to gut me financially!

Yeah...apparently that's the going rate for the Millenium. We just got lucky (or not-so-lucky if you read the reviews
) on Hotwire. $47/night is a great price, if the hotel is decent enough. 11 miles away isn't ideal, but it's not that far away. Not sure how much it would be to drive to the arena and park...but it may be cheaper to cab it to/from the hotel if you book there.

i was looking online to see if anything else exciting is going to be happening in St. Louis that same weekend. I noticed the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" will be at the Peabody Opera House (right next to the Scottrade Center) all week long. Seems kinda early for Christmas shows... but then that got me thinking... you think Paul might throw in Wonderful Christmastime to the setlist? Or still too soon?

I speculated this as well. I'm thinking he may do that and/or his new version of "The Christmas Song".
-
Seems really early for a Christmas song. If he does, I'd prefer Wonderful Christmastime.
-
I agree I would much rather here Wonderful Christmas time, but I would much rather hear another song that he does not do much than either of the Holiday tunes.

I was curious because I am debating where to stay also. So I looked up Yellow Taxi and their rates are $3.00 for the first 1/10th mile and .20 for every 1/10th there after so the way I have it figured, and I am not a math whiz..LOl... 11 miles would be $4.80 for the first mile and 2.00 for the remaining 10 miles so you are looking at 24.80 one way...I also looked up parking near the venue at Central Parking and it is $ 10.00 a day Max. Somebody check my math. I also looked up on Mapquest the amount of Gas used for a drive down would be for my car about 2.45 one way. Much cheaper to drive down if you can.

I'd welcome either to the set warmly. I'd prefer Wonderful Christmastime, but either would be very cool. I mean...when am I gonna have the chance to hear a Christmas song from Paul again!? Maybe someday, but I don't know right now, so I'm rootin' for 'em!
-
I understand, I am just not a big Christmas person.

You can always take the Metro as well because there's a station stop just outside of Scott Trade. That's cheaper than a taxi.
