Making your own album-game
-
Okay guys, new "game". Let's make the "perfect" Paul-album. All you have to do is choose 10-12 songs, maybe an hidden or bonus track if you want. Only rule: You can only take songs that were at this particular number in a Wings or Paul-solo album. So basically you have to look at all the first tracks of every of his album and choose the best one, after that you take a look at all the second tracks on his albums to pick the next song. Example: If you think that the best opening track of any of his solo-albums is "Band On The Run", then it's track 1 on your CD. If you think of all his solo-albums second tracks, "The World Tonight" is his best one, it's your second song on the CD and so on. You can put the name on which album that track appeard behind the song in brackets if you want. Got it? Then do it.

Ok, I'll give it a stab... 1. Too Many People (RAM) 2. Temporary Secretary (McII) 3. Jenny Wren (Chaos) 4. Distractions (FITD) 5. Little Lamb Dragonfly (RRS) 6. Mr Bellamy (MAF) 7. The Pound Is Sinking (TOW) 8. Monkberry Moon Delight (RAM) 9. Medley: Hold Me Tight, Hands Of Love, Lazy Dynamite, Power Cut (RRS) 10. Little Willow (FP) 11. House of Wax (MAF) 12. Maybe I'm Amazed (McCartney) Bonus tracks: Another Day (1971 single) Daytime Nighttime Suffering (1979 B-side) I Want You To Fly (2005 B-side)

Brilliant album, I would buy it. Even if I don't like Jenny Wren. That's what I meant with this game, it's kind of a Best-of, but only chosen by the numbers these songs appeard on the albums. I've made one on my own, but I think your's better 1. Band On The Run (Band On The Run) 2. Take It Away (Tug Of War) 3. Hope of Deliverance (Off The Ground) 4. Every Night (McCartney) 5. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey (RAM) 6. Calico Skies (Flaming Pie) 7. Summer's Day Song (McCartney II) 8. Wanderlust (Tug Of War) 9. That Was Me (Memory Almost Full) 10. Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five (Band On The Run) 11. Warm And Beautiful (Wings at the Speed of Sound) 12. The End Of The End (Memory Almost Full) Hidden track: Country Dreamer (Helen Wheels b-side)

Thanks. I saw a thread like this once in an Oasis-forum and thought it would be a nice idea to try this here too. I like your list and all the other ones too, it's really hard to pick a favorite, they are all great. But to be honest, you can't really go wrong by that great catalog Paul has with his solo-songs.

I had a bit of time today so I put mine together. Really makes you realize how much he NEEDS to include some of this stuff in his concerts! oh & I included one for Linda. Paul said that when it came time to record the song, even he was surprised by Linda's outspoken lyrics. 1)Big Barn Bed (Red Rose Speedway) 2) The World Tonight (Flaming Pie) 3)If You Wanna (Flaming Pie) 4)Beware My Love (Wings at the Speed of Sound) 5)Highway (Electric Arguments) 6)The Light Comes From Within (Wide Prairie)

6)The Light Comes From Within (Wide Prairie) http://bit.ly/HRMJPB LOL!
Never heard this one before. Horrible vocals, but brilliant lyrics. Btw, nice album you make.
