First LP memories.....

I remember listening to The Beatles Double Red Vinyl that belonged to my older sister I was about 11 years old. That was the first time I was intoduced to the Beatles & also listening to Band on the Run when it came out on 8 track tape. Gosh! I feel old! I sure wish they had digital media 30+ years ago. I really need to unload my lp's at my next garage sale or ebay as they take up too much space doing nothing.
PM me if you ever have that garage sale. I`m not too far from you. Oh and I use to listen to Band on the Run in my brother`s 70 Ford LTD on 8-track. Thanks for the memories

I have about 1500 albums including Beatles & Paul some w/ the apple label as well some solo from the others but I don't think I have All Things must Pass but have Concert for Bangldesh complete w/ booklet. My turntable died years ago & I really don't have a lot of time to sit & listen to albums but perhaps this winter I'll pick one up that has a USB port & record some albums to my computer/MP3. I'll let you know when I'm going to unload them. Cheers

Early 1964, as the British Invasion came ever closer to the shores of the United States, at age six, I was given an album from my Dad. It was titled, "Songs For Little Cowboys." On the Twinkle Record label. Still have it.

Sgt. Peppers when I was 11. I was lucky to have such a friend to introduce me to such great music. each album was like a new discovery.

Nigel, I was 12 in '67! What year were you 11? Must have been a lot later or you would have been a fan from '64 on.

Abbey Road - in 1990 that was ... The album was then 21 years old (it was an original and (for some strange reason) Italian pressing). The odd thing is that that is now 22 years ago!! (and when I got that LP, I had the feeling it was an extremely old object ... ) I recorded on tape immediately and barely dared to play the original for fear it would wear down

The first McCartney record I remember hearing is "Off The Ground" in '93 - I was 5 years old

I've got that too. My mom got me a copy in the early 70s from this weird hippie shop. I was about 5 and really into cowboys.
