Times have changed! Rich old white greedy war lovin' men don't get to rule everything anymore (not everything) ! I'd better stop using so many exclamation points, LOL Sorry, it's difficult to refrain. I'm so jubilant. Really tickled by various things, gettin' a big kick out of it

Maybe there's an underground contest amongst conservatives to see who can make the most asinine, baseless comments before 2013?

This is how much the REST of the world favours Obama: http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/63592000/gif/_63592043_worldservicepoll_464_romney_embargoed_23102012.gif http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20008687 It makes a thing about Pakistan being the only country to prefer Romney but then if you look at the graph, Pakistan were actually only 14% for Romney and 11% for Obama - so a big majority just against either of them. I struggle to believe that as many as 7% of Brits support Romney.
There are only 21 nations in the rest of the world?

Dustbin Lid:
Libertarianism is in interesting concept, but one which I feel is destined to fail. Social liberalism and fiscal conservatism are unlikely bedfellows. Those who are socially liberal tend to believe in taxation to help those less fortunate which naturally leads to a "bigger" Government. Those who are socially liberal tend to believe that the rights of the individual are secondary to the rights of the individual, for example gun control. Libertarians, from what I can gather, generally favour little gun control or Government interference. It doesn't help that those within the Libertarian movement cannot agree on the definition or parameters of Libertarianism. My personal feelings towards the movement is that it could potentially damage the very idea of society. Notions such as voluntarily funded Government, for example, would make it very difficult for social projects such as infrastructure initiatives or improvements to get off the ground and I can envisage such an attitude resulting in personal wealth governing individual freedoms if nearly everything is left to private or corporate funding, which is certainly less preferable to the society we live in today. It is too much like that as it is. If I am honest, I believe those people who subscribe to this movement need to think long and hard about long-term social consequences.
In the United States, Libertarians are generally Republicans unhappy with the party leadership.

And let's hear it for Elizabeth Warren and McCaskill! Women's rights will survive at least another generation -- if not from now on. Murdoch and Akin...start packin'!
I have already heard that Elizabeth Warren may be the 2016 nominee.

I have to disagree with this. Some of us are doing fine. The current revolutions and civil wars have nothing to do with Obama. Sometimes when people deal with their problems it is not about the United States.

Well, now that'is is officially over I can joke about it. There's a particular song that I think reflects the kind of thoughts of many milions about Romney. And this time happens to me one of mine. It's my "Meat Free Monday" song. I didn't notice til now, but I sing "Too much Mitt can all destroy it" over and over.
Hey, next Monday is Mitt-Free Monday!I don't need to rework the song... though there's some parts that I wouldn't have change to at all. Anyway as I don't want to self promotion on a political thread... here's Paul McCartney with his Meat Free Monday song. Think of "Mitt-Free Monday" and you got it.

Me three! I'm still celebrating so very happy
And I agree Suzy this feels like real change. The US will never go back. Obama and the Dems. will get to preside over our own successful recovery. One thing I'm so proud about is that the Obama campaign was successful in educating many people about how the economy really works. The exit polls showed that the people understand what caused the great recession and that Obama was doing all he could to fix those problems. In my state they had a big lesson in voter suppression. Amazingly with all the roadblocks the wingnut repub gov. set up we still won the state! I worked on the campaign and we knew what was coming so we tried to get as many as possible to vote early and they tried to suppress early voting. We educated people about how important it was to stay in the horribly long lines.
They were so angry about that, that it was a record turnout among the groups that were being suppressed
We kept in touch with the people in the long lines #stayinline and by sending people to talk to the ones in line, give supples, chairs etc.. And I was so proud of all those who did stay some as long as 7-9 hours to vote
The problem was so extreme that President Obama mentioned it in is acceptance speech. People will not forget what the republicans tried to do to suppress voting
And don't forget the obscene amount of money that was used against us! It makes victory twice as sweet to have overcome all those roadblocks
Champagne for All
Cheers

Popular vote "mock/laughing lady". CBS has even a stranger way to count than the sources I used. 50 + 48 = only 98 (that's a mysterious way of adding percent factors of those who voted and were counted!). Sally's/CBS missing 2% .... btw I am part of the 48 or 49% of the Nation who did not vote for the President and I know your way of "dealing" with others who don't see things exactly as you is through mockery & insults. Go ahead, mock away - but that "will not" further the likeability of the President if his "messengers" and mere adolocent bullys.

I have to disagree with this. Some of us are doing fine. The current revolutions and civil wars have nothing to do with Obama. Sometimes when people deal with their problems it is not about the United States.
A number of people in this thread make fun or light of those with whom they disagree (they "cut up" others - it's slang: not proper English). So I really could have said, no matter how much you cut me up I am among a significat number of American's who prefered not Obama. Well the news here has been that that the Obama administration helped arm many of the militia groups - to take change the existing ruling powers (Egypt; Libya, & some other hot spots). The arming of rebel groups was extensive in Egypt & Libya. Women (for example) now have less rights in Egypt & Libya in 2012 than what they had in 2008 and prior. I personally hold Obama responsible (in part) for the loss of women's rights in parts of the Middle East.
