Complete Kisses
-
Is this going to be available in Australia? Checked iTunes this morning and it's not available here.

I just bought the tracks that I did not have already. Would have preferred a CD. I noticed that the whistling in the live version of My very good friend the milkman was fixed.

As Wallie said in the other kisses thread...with Paul being an animal activist...he sure knows how to beat a dead horse... It sure does seem like it's all about the money now.
that would make him a necroequuaflaggulator

Could he be a Beatle veggie necroequuaflaggulator?

There are 2 versions available - the version on Holiday Rules (or Christmas Rules outside of USA) does not have strings, but the version on Complete Kisses has strings added.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up! Incredible in how many configurations these iTunes recordings now exist. The unedited version, edited, pitch-corrected and overdubbed for the Blu-Ray, edited and non pitch-corrected for the iTunes release... What a train-wreck.

This sort of rip-off reminds me of an album one of my favorite bands put up for sale on iTunes. 15 tracks, each song for $0.99, but the 14th "track" was two minutes of silence as the 15th track was a hidden track. What's funny is that the band didn't realize for about a month that iTunes had mistakenly put this silence up for sale as a track on the album, and that people were actually buying it! The moral of the story is that I'd rather pay for that 14th track than for another version of KOTB.

That would be like them selling the track on Sgt. Pepper that only dogs can hear!

Yeah, I always laugh at Paul's comment, "We never put anything on our albums for animals." That's because animals don't buy records, Paul.

After some debate, I bought this. Here is my history with the Kisses album: 1. I bought the regular CD on the release day. My fault I didn't research ahead of time and realize that the two bonus tracks are sold only at certain retailers. 2. I bought the two extra tracks from itunes. 3. I decided I'd rather have the two extra tracks on the regular CD, so I bought the CD at Target. 4. I bought the Live from Capitol Studios from iTunes. 5. I bought the new Christmas track from Holidays Rule. 6. Realizing that I was missing four songs from #4, a different version of My Valentine, and a strings version of the new Christmas track, I went ahead and bought the Complete Kisses. I also purchased the DVD. I've officially got a problem. This is what being a Paul McCartney completist has brought me to.

Since you ended up buying the CD from Target, you had Baby's Request and My One And Only Love, so you were not missing all 4 extra songs as you said in #6 above. I had a similar problem and ended up downloading the new arrangement of My Valentine off iTunes. So there is a different (stringed) version of The Christmas Song too? (I have Holidays Rule)

Since this doesn't seem to be available on iTunes in Australia any ideas how I could get some/all of Complete Kisses?

Through paulmccartney.com?

Thanks but I tried that. Just leads to iTunes where it is unavailable here. Just have to hope that it becomes available in Australia eventually.
-
It's now available and I have been able to download the tracks I was after.

Yes, the Christmas Song on Complete Kisses is different - strings are added to the mix.
