They soundchecked the pyro? Maybe a new practice following the Vancouver incident.
What happened in Vancouver?
-
So where the hell is this being shown in England?! I know I can watch it on Youtube but I want to watch this thing on TV! Does anyone know what channels are showing it?

SKY Arts (I have no idea what that is, hopefully you do.) EDIT: here's the link where I found it. http://www.121212concert.org/broadcast#section-3

Thank you, It looks like I will watch it on YouTube anyway because I want to see it live as it happens and some people have said it looks like it might be only the highlights on Sky Arts. God only knows why the f*ckwits in charge of UK broadcasting decided this concert shouldn't be live on mainstream television.
-
Yeah, that is pretty ridiculous. It doesn't come on until tomorrow night, from the looks of it.

I guess they figure it's a show for american hurricane relief so they reckon the majority of the uk wouldn't be interested...who would not be interested in the great music on this show!

"While we can't tell you exactly what McCartney played, we might be able to let it slip that he played two songs from a certain self-titled Beatles album. He even delved deep into his catalog, delivering a non-single Wings track (it's an underappreciated gem)": http://www.fuse.tv/2012/12/behind-the-scenes-12-12-12-paul-mccartney-billy-joel-the-who Two songs from the White Album and a non-single Wings track? My guesses: Blackbird Helter Skelter 1985

Strangest thing ever, I think they're stretching it a lot. I guess Paul simply will do something with Dave Grohl and the others and that's all. Paul didn't even knew the members of Nirvana when they were in the room. lol Like if he does I Wanna Be Your Man with the Stones doesn't mean he's gonna join the Stones...

Yeah...but whatever he soundchecked doesn't mean it'll be in the show. BTW 5th...thanks for posting the pics!

Dave Grohl showing Paul some love onstage in 2004:

Personally out of a possible setlist i'd kind of like to see: Back In The USSR Lady Madonna Here. There and Everywhere Too Much Rain Live and Let Die I Saw Her Standing There Helter Skelter Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End

You're welcome! Usually Paul soundchecks those "special songs" (honey don't, blue suede shoes, penny lane, flaming pie, celebration, etc.) for those who paid for the Hot Sound package, but since yesterday was a rehearsal for the bands that will perform in the 12-12-12 concert, I believe Paul actually rehearsed the songs from his setlist.
