Most moving vocalists and performances ever
-
Aretha Franklin, O Holy Night
-
al Sabah:
Paul Simon, David Crosby, Graham Nash, "Here Comes the Sun"
I had never heard this version. It's lovely. A couple favorites of mine: Roy Orbison, The Comedians Joan Baez, Winds of the Old Days Joan Baez, Boulder to Birmingham (from the "From Every Stage" live LP) Paul Simon, The Boxer (from "Live Rhymin")
-

Finally found this. A true shivers-up-the-spine vocal:
-
Roy Orbison has always seemed unusual to me. Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans, Bridge Over Troubled Water

Roy sounds unusual yet he is the most influential vocalist ever.
-
Stina Nordenstam ~ So This Is Goodbye
-
Probably the best Whitney vocals, isolated vocals!
-
This may seem like a strange choice but... Kylie Minogue - Come into my world
now, back to normal Don't Stop Me Now and I Want To Break Free isolated vocals And In My Defence almost isolated, every note is a world or so... and one of Freddie's best... and shortest! vocals, live in Tokyo Lazing on a Sunday Afternooooon.... -
21st Century Paul:

I would think that is Elvis.
-
21st Century Paul:
Probably the best Whitney vocals, isolated vocals!
This should be officially released on a CD.
-
Bill Withers, Just the Two of Us
-
al Sabah:
Bill Withers, Just the Two of Us
quite trippy cause I was thinking of posting this one before seeing yours Bill Withers-Lean On Me, the performance is so great that the song don't need no lyrics, the meaning is plain to see anyway
-
Just wanted to say thanks to you guys. This thread has been my "playlist" for a couple of days now. And the original post? Oliver, that is one of the most well rounded, respectful list of songs... great job! This is not the typical "Song Of The Day,That Is Stuck In Your Head Because It's In Your CDPlayer, So You're Listening To It Now" thread.
-
Always respected John's Anna
Don't know if its moving, but its as good as that song could ever be sung IMO. just straight up with that husky tonal quality. -

Well, the performances are listed are all classics, sure there's better ones singing not so great songs... but for me, even best the best performance in this world gets boring if it's not of a great song... except for Freddie Mercury, you know. Freddie Mercury - Have A Nice Day he recorded this just to excuse himself for not attending some Queen convention or so... well, not even Freddie can't get away if the song is not great lol

Ain't no sunshine without Bill Withers.

the same guy, again, lol, I think I could even be repeating tracks Mr.Bad Guy - Freddie, the song he wrote about himself, "I am Mr. Bad Guy", the most Freddiemecurysh of all the Freddie Mercury's recording. Actually the song could be called "Freddie Mercury" orchestra version
different version with vocals louder rock version I think I have posted this before, if not, shame on me Bohemian Rhapsody-vocal track, kind of a capella
