Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

5th-beatle:
There's a rumour about a McCartney concert in Argentina, either on April 27 or May 04: http://diariohoy.net/el-clasico/viene-paul-mccartney-y-se-repite-la-misma-melodia-el-pincha-ira-otra-vez-a-quilmes-6713
I almost fell off my chair, Carlos! I hope that's true, that stadium is 45 minutes from my house. By the way, if it gets confirmed you're all welcome to come. Carlos, my condolences for what happened in Porto Alegre, we had a similar catastrophe in 2004 in Buenos Aires. Heartbreaking!

I am so jealous! It is a little over 5000 miles from where I live to where you live Javi! It is shorter to London (4200 miles)

I just sent a message to Brian Ray on twitter about those concerts, but he is too smart to give away any info and replied by saying that those are only rumors.... why is true, of course.

Quit it with the bloody excuses, Nan. You get your ass over here for the concert and bring your lovely daughter as well

Backstage in Rio I asked Brian Ray if there was to be a concert in Argentina soon, for there were rumors then too. His response was "If I told you, I'd have to kill you"

Is that all the South American press does, report on McCartney concert rumours? They seem to be endless, and a press priority. Good luck with it though, I hope for you it comes off.

Well, Paul performed in South America in 2010, 2011 and 2012. So why not 2013?

This from the most important newspaper in Argentina today: http://www.lanacion.com.ar/1550118-avanza-la-negociacion-para-traer-a-mccartney
-
And this is from a Brazilian newspaper today. It seems that three cities are trying to score a McCartney concert: Curitiba (he performed there in 1993), Belo Horizonte (most likely to win) and Salvador (a total surprise to me).
-
I hope they all win, along with Argentina. Paul knows he has the craziest fans down here

Salvador looks like a great candidate for a McCartney concert. Also would be someplace new. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador,_Bahia

Yes, it's a large city in a very sunny area of the country. Lots of nice beaches, and hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of tourists go there every year for Carnaval, which nowadays is as big as in Rio de Janeiro. Basically, the party goes on all year long over there.

If it happens there I'll stay for a week to enjoy the beaches! Are there any proper stadiums in Salvador, Carlos?
