Has anyone ever just accidentally spotted Paul?
-
Ok. I know this could be misconstrued, so let me just clarify that I'm so, so, so against stalking celebrities. I would never do that. They are entitled to their privacy. But, has anyone ever serendipitously just spotted him or accidentally run into him while tooling around London or somewhere else? I was thinking about this because of anticipating hopefully being able to go to Beatles Week and thought on the off chance I did accidentally run into Paul, it would MAKE the rest of my life. Hehe.

Have you been to Beatle Week? Just wondered if most people end up going to London for the day during...

You have got to go to London for at least a week to make it worthwhile! There is so much to see. I've been 4 times and finally think I've hit all the high spots. See my post to you in the Beatles Week thread. And Audi, you have it made living in Nashville--lots of celebs there. I've only spotted Hulk Hogan in the Atlanta Airport and Shaquille O'Neal in Tampa at Busch Gardens!

I met him by accident at the Mirage, at the 5th anniversary of LOVE. So I suppose that constitutes "bumping into him."

I dont think so . Not even him wearing something spotted love doris

never spotted Paul but have seen other people...think I'd remember Paul.

My cousin did a few years back on the Washington DC mall. He was taking pictures, doing touristy things. She just watched him for a few minutes until the crowds noticed him then he left with his entourage. She's not even a fan. I was pretty jealous.

My grandmother met all the great celebs I'd love to admire just casually. Mick Jagger. Jimi Hendrix. Simon and Garfunkel. All four Beatles. (Yep. she went to pick up her daughter at the old Olympia stadium where the Beatles played, got swept up in the crowd and actually saw them running to their car while everyone screamed around her. She said Paul was carrying a stuffed animal and pictures confirm that fact). She met Mick Jagger in a park or someplace like that and kept telling us, "I met that guy...Mike Jagger."

I've been lucky enough to meet Paul a few times, 3 times were planned, 3 times were unexpected, although as i grew up near his place it was probably less suprising. one time was in London, near soho square, id been many times and never seen him, and the first time im passing that way for a totally different reason i bumped into Paul AND George Martin, very lucky although i wish id had my camera:-)
-
My old guitar teacher was riding on a Cape Cod tour bus of some sort, and who was sitting in the back in sunglasses, trying to blend in? Paul and Linda. I was in high school when I heard this story from him, and I asked if he talked to Paul. He said no, he didn't really care because he didn't like Paul. It was around this time that I stopped my guitar lessons...

If I ever meet Paul, like say on some street somewhere, I am going to just pretend like I do not recognize him. Treat him as a person, not a 'celebrity.' I wonder how long he would let it go before telling me who he was? Or maybe he would not tell me and I wouldn't tell him I knew and that would be that. Wouldn't that be something?

I think he would know that you recognized him--he can usually tell because most people do--he doesn't go around saying "I'm Paul McCartney" as far as I know . So I do think he would play along if you were not going to acknowledge him.

I wounder if you could ask Paul anything what would everyone ask ?
-
Man, how do you go about writing a song like For No One or Golden Slumbers? Could you sing a duet with me? Could you give me a job working in your company? Hey do you remember when you were in The Beatles? Do you remember Wings? Do you need a new writing partner Paul? Hey Paul how about an autograph? Paul could I have a quick picture? Paul, why are you running away Paul? Paul where are you going? Paul? Paul? Aw sh*t he's gone.
