DrBeatle:
I'll be going to this show, my first Paul concert! I'm very excited. Taking my mum with me, she's been a Beatles and Paul fan since she first saw them on Ed Sullivan in 1964...my dad didn't want to go with her (he loves the Beatles but none of their solo stuff) so of course I was happy to oblige! I've been to Fenway loads of times for games but never for concerts...for those of you who've been (including when Paul played there in 2009), how was the sound and the overall experience?
I went to his last Fenway show and was in the 20-somethingth row. It was tough to get a good view of the stage, and I realized it was better to either be up front or in stadium seating if you actually want to see without constantly watching the giant screen on the side. The sound was great, I find that usually it's so loud that you get better sound quality if you wear ear plugs because you don't get so much distortion, however it's not as bad outside. I'll be there this time as well, splurged for row 3 center... I hope we have great weather!

Thanks for the info! I've got seats on the third base line close behind the visitor's dugout. I sat in almost the same box last time I went to a game last year, so I was trying to use that (and the seat-finder online) to visualize. Oh well, it'll be what it'll be...important thing is I'll be there! I hope we have good weather, too...it's rain or shine but I'm hoping in July it'll be a nice evening. We'll see!

I doubt that anyone on here would still be looking for tickets for this show but in case you - or people you know are - this just popped up in my mailbox...Urban Daddy is a sort of more chic version of Groupon. Roof deck access at Fenway with tables and open bar for two hours...sounds like a pretty good deal? https://perks.urbandaddy.com/new-york/tickets-for-charity.html?sp_mid=6284573&sp_rid=ODE2MzMzMzQwNQS2

Has anyone received their Crowdsurge/Paul McCartney.com tickets for Fenway yet? As it turned out, I'm flying up for the Boston show, but the person I bought them from originally ordered them from the Crowdsurge presale. Just curious if there's any updates yet.... My Orlando tickets came about 3 weeks before the show...

We all know tickets via the regular channels have already arrived.... It's only the PM.com/Crowdsurge pre-sale tickets that come later.... Anyway, whoever is the first to receive them, please post about it.

Hello everyone!! Can you say JULY 9 AT FENWAY PARK?? My fist post on the Boston Fenway thread... Cant wait for the day, but I'm gonna have to... I got my tickets through CrowdSurge, don't have them yet. I'm contacting them early next week. I'm traveling from Maryland to Boston so obviously I need them before I travel. And definitely, when someone receives their tickets from CrowdSurge, let us know! My seats are in right field box 93. Hmmm, anyone know about that section? I tried to balance being closer to the stage (by going along the right side) but not be TOO much on the side... Anyway, I'm excited to be posting and super excited about the concert!

I'll be there (at the Boston show) with my 14 year old daughter - we were there several years ago for the last Fenway Park show as well...I like all the Paul concerts I've been to - but the ambiance at Fenway adds something very special to the show even above and beyond the fact that it's Paul out there...you'll see what I mean in a few weeks

I've seen Paul and Aerosmith at Fenway....right field/1st base side is where the stage seems to face a little bit. Sound was much better there (for Paul) than when I sat on left field side (for Aerosmith). Maybe Macca's system was just better. I can tell you that at both shows, it was just plain awesome to be enjoying a monumental show at at venerable locale.

Thanks for telling me this. I've got seats right at the 3rd base side right at the visitors dugout. Now I'm worried I will not have as good a view as I thought...oh well, as long as the sound is good!

Dr. Beatle, I don't think you have to worry about your seating. At least I'm trying NOT to, lol... The sound will be excellent no matter where we are. As far as viewing the stage, well, I got arena tickets for the Puerto Rico show in 2010. I'd never sat in arena but if there was ever an occassion for that, it was my first Paul McCartney concert; I was in row 10, I believe. Even there, I missed some things happening onstage. I kept looking at those who were the same distance from the stage but had some elevation, and I thought 'well, that's what I'll do next time!'. Which is now! I hit 'post new reply', instead of new thread, for this answer. I hope that all previous answers don't show up in my reply Anyway, it's onward to Fenway now! Woo hoo! I try not to look at the setlist, but boy, is it hard... Cheers!

Silly question but... can someone help this newbie with replying to messages? I'm trying to include bobwnh's answer in my reply, but I can't figure it out. I read the FAQs but I didn't see an answer. Jose
