sympathy goes out to Boston marathoners

I tuned in (again) ..... just as they were talking about moving in ...... and as far as the reports go (because they change so much) ..... he is alive.
-
I've been watching this Live on NBC News since I got home from work. Between 8:40 and 8:45 pm eastern time, they announced that he was alive and in custody.
-
The media reported that suspect#2 went out on a rampage yesterday...but clearly it was a bayliner

It's certainly a horrifying day down at Copley today - many spectators injured...that's a ridiculously busy street (Boylston St) even on a normal day loaded with many retailers and restaurants, as well as Copley Mall, high end hotels etc...and that's only magnified to the umph degree on Patriots Day aka the day of the marathon - it makes me shiver to think of that ultra crowded 'no where to go' feeling only to have this happen...the only silver lining in all this is that the street was closed due to the marathon, which made emergency vehicle entrance easier than it would normally had been
Rich so good to hear from you .... sorry not on a happier occasion ... so glad the two suspects are taken care of ... I suspect there may be more ... including some out of this Country. It's really sad all those killed including those in law enforcement

Saying many prayers for those who have suffered in Boston and in Texas...Hang in there!

When is all this crap going to end?! Beyond heartbreaking.

Hi Macca fans, I'm a Boston singer/songwriter, and my song "Back To Boston" #104 is included in a compilation album organized by Allston Pudding, an indie music site. In a little under a week, the compilation has raised over $5,000! For a donation of $1 or more, you will be able to download 130 songs (or download any individual track you would like if you prefer). 100% of the donations collected from this compilation will go directly to The One Fund Boston, the official fund organized by Governor Patrick and Mayor Menino, to directly benefit the victims of the Marathon tragedy. For more information on how to make a donation, follow the site:

I went down to Boylston Street for the first time today since the bombing. The memorial site is a highly moving scene with not only many people offering their thoughts and prayers, but also all the pieces of memorabilia brought in to the site....and the news crews from all the local and many national news sites are still reporting from the area. Contrary to what I first thought, the memorial is not at the site of the bombing, but actually several blocks to the east of where the first bomb went off. I had actually gone down there with my wife and 15 y/o daughter (and with dog in tow)...of course it was very crowded, but everyone was not only patient, but courteous as they paid their respects. We had a small lunch at the Panera Bread near the Marshalls on Boylston St and resumed our walk around Boston (as a side note, we probably walked over 5 miles today)...anyway, here's a coupe of pics. First is of the memorial, depicting a sample of the amount of people there as well as the news trucks in the background. The second is me in front of the memorial - the site of the actual bombing (first bomb actually) is several blocks up past my left shoulder...the third pic is actually on the ride home - it's the Shell and Mobile gas station where the two bombing suspects tried to get gas and where the car hijacking victim was able to make his escape:
