Somebody just told my buddy at this show to sit down. Seriously?
Happened where I was sitting at too. I know it's loud and not exactly realistic, but the worst part when this happens is that the people asking are never nice about it, but always like 'Hey moron, sit down!' So not only does the guy or gal not get to fully enjoy the show, but they have to be embarrassed too. Annoys me to no end. The lone quibble I have has nothing to do with the show itself, but rather, the programs. This is the second show I've been to in recent years (the other being Nashville in 2010) in which programs are sold out prior to the show starting. I say this sort of tongue-in-cheek, but I feel like if we concertgoers are enthusiastic enough to willfully spend $30 on these things, then it's incumbent upon the performer's merchandise people to have them in droves Also, it's annoying to buy 3 t-shirts and not have a bag to put them in, but I lay that one at the feet of the Pacers gift shop people, not Paul. At any rate, I still have a stupid grin from how awesome that show was last night and the fact that I finally got to see Paul without driving more than two hours makes up for any minor inconveniences. So, in short, amazing concert and I'll live without the program.

Update on that: My buddy, Adam, turned around and said, "Hey, I drove three hours and spent two-hundred bucks to see my f-cking hero for the first time since 2005...I'm standin'!"

Well, my post-concert blues have set in. Last night in Indianapolis was absolutely AMAZING! Paul was in SUCH a good mood - which always makes for an extra fun show. Soundcheck was SO much fun! Akiboh and I danced the entire hour - seriously, I was winded. And she got a shout out from Paul after holding her, "This is my hometown!" sign. Actually, it was more than a shout out - it spawned an entire funny story from Paul, directed at her! Our seats were incredible for the show - 3rd row, dead center. Paul was REALLY interacting with the audience, which isn't anything new, but is still so much fun to be a part of. During Your Mother Should Know, I held a sign that read, "This (soon to be) Mother Will Know!" He read it after he finished the song and gave me a point and "congratulations" type applause. Then he said something like, "We've got a mother-to-be down front! Congratulations!" before going into Lady Madonna. It was awesome - something I'll have to tell this baby about when it's old enough to understand. Anyway...back at work now and obviously finding it difficult to concentrate. Let's hear some more stories about the show!
post concert blues in full swing. Sitting at the airport thinking about the show, and how great it was so see everybody again!
ALWAYS great spending time with you and your lovely wife! Safe travels back home...let me know if you find a cure for the post-concert blues (besides more Paul )

Just curious: What was the funny story he told about Akiboh ? Was it about her Paul tattoo?
I had a sign that said "Welcome to my hometown!" Paul said, "THIS is your hometown?" I said "YEAH!" Then he made up a little story: "It's actually my hometown, too. Few people know that. I was born in Indianapolis and quickly shipped off to Liverpool just in time for my birth to be registered there. Little known fact!" Paraphrased, but it was something like that! He's such a goofball.
I would have been grinning at him like a loon.
I still am!!!
Great experience! Have a great time I am sure. Loved reading everyone's stories and photos. Thanx 4 sharing.

At Yankee Stadium, I had a lady tap me on the back during Hello Goodbye... the first song!! I turned around and she said, "Young man, you have binoculars. All I have is a view of your back!" Stunned, I uttered the only words I could muster... "Lady, it's the first number!". Then she got even more annoyed and said, "Well, I asked you nicely!" Why do these people even bother going to rock concerts!!! D.C. the other night was a different story altogether. Great crowd, even in the stands!!
