The Front Row Experience
-
I've been in the front row for many shows . It is addictive as someone has already mentioned. Nobody's head is blocking your view, you have more room, and the band makes eye contact with you. You shout to the band members and they acknowledge it. I exchanged thumbs ups with Abe when he was playing bongos during And I Love Her, Paul and I sang 2 verses of Helter Skelter together as he stared straight at me. Although Paul's stage is too far away, I've gotten high 5's, hand shakes, guitar picks, drum sticks, set lists, sunglasses, and been sweated on from band members. My wife's strummed Tommy Shaw's guitar and got pulled up on stage to dance with John Mellencamp. Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 took my video camera and filmed the band for a minute. I've been sprayed by Tommy Lee's champagne and Sammy Hagar bit a rose and spit it out and it rained rose petals on me. Do you see now how the front row can be addictive? My point is that a lot of interesting and great things can happen when you are in the front row. It's worthing doing.
