Rockshow in Theatres
-
Vancouver, BC, Canada - just found out that Rockshow is playing in my city TONIGHT! The link that Paul McCartney.com sent out does not show any theatres for Rockshow but that is WRONG. My friend googled Rockshow in Vancouver and found out it is playing in something like 4 cinemas tonight. So if you're reading this from Vancouver, check it out. It's playing in the suburbs (surrounding areas of Vancouver) plus at the ScotiaBank theatre for Vancouver this evening only. On the link that was sent out, I typed in every province in Canada and no theatres came up but using Google proves otherwise. Can't wait to see it on the big screen tonight!

It was brilliant, there were about 50 people at the cinema i wnt to and it was like being at a concert, people were laughing at Pauls jokes and at the end everyone clapped! I was there on my own, and reallly got into the moment, Beware My Love & Soily gave me goosebumps it was do great. Really glad i went!

It was great to watch this on the big screen. It sounded great, too. Almost as good as being at there in '76. There were only 6 people in the theatre. It was almost a private screening.

SOILY was never recorded in the studio, nor was it ever on a studio album. I was performed live only and recorded for WOA and ROCKSHOW. I saw that concert in Denver in 1976 and I can tell you, SOILY was a KILLER finale, the crowd went completely wild!

Soily actually was recorded in studio during the Band Of The Run sessions, but the studio version remains unreleased:
(Studio version really pales to the WOA live version, imo.) -

don't rely on PM.com It was telling me no shows in my area. I googled it and found it close to my hometown. For you there is a showing in San Jose.

And people should start a thread about McCartney putting "Soliy" in his setlist - LOL. IMO - would be a killer ending for first encore.

Just a hand full of us at the movie last night. Great audio/video compared to the show in 1980. Went home w/ a "Rockshow" movie poster which was a nice treat.

yeah it's a nice alterntive song for the enore. The slot is ok but I would see it as replacement for helter skelter than for get back.

Are you serious? There were Ontario Canada showings and I didn't know about it? I am so pissed. Apparently it played here yesterday and I had no idea because it was not listed on the site that was linked.

Hi I posted here back on May 10th about this problem (regarding accurate linking on the site) & urged people to "google" it, that's how I found it ...sorry you missed it. In Calgary, they are showing it once again on Wed.24th, this was in a Cineplex theatre. Check with your theatre - you might find it playing a week later. Good luck!

Originally I went to the link but last weekend I went to the Ciniplex site & found it playing one night only last night at my local Ciniplex. Check it out; hope you find it playing near you.
