Those eyes etc. I was 6 years old,I turned to my parents & screamed "I'm going to love him forever !!......And I have

well am a Paul Mccartney fan because he has always kept it real in both his music and his personal life. And it does help that he is a caring and sensitive human being despite of his short comings. I just fell in love with his music and that is the main reason why i became a fan .

I'm a fan first and foremost because I am HUGE Beatles fan. I loved his writing with John, and I love his writing on his own. I think he's incredibly talented as a bass player, piano player, guitarist, singer, drummer, writer, arranger, producer. I also greatly admire him as a person...he was more of a dad to Julian than John was, he was always looking to find the perfect soulmate to build a family with (which he found with Linda), he was married for 30 years to her and would still be had she not died, he adopted her daughter right away and treated her as if she was his own (how many famous, rich, good looking guys in their 20s would have done that?), and the father he's been to his children. The world is just a little bit better place for having Paul in it.

I'm a fan because of his talent, his creativity. I saw him live several times in Paris and I 'll never forget those moments. The first time I saw him was in 1989 and when he sang Yesterday I really felt it was for me. He loves his fan and even if I don't know him personally I'm sure he's a good and altruistic man.

His energy is what did it for me, or -- at least -- that was the impetus. Like the rest of the globe, I knew his hits, and he was still a Top Ten recording artist when I was in high school, but it was the '89/'90 tour that manifested the breadth of what he had achieved. Staggering, to put it mildly. He DARED to out-do The Beatles...and damn-near did. He teaches us to look forward..not backward. The clincher, though, was his love for Linda. She is almost as integral to my admiration for Paul as his music.
Wow Audi... just saw this I feel the same way about Linda too!

He is responsible for the soundtrack to my life. I was born in 1971 and was raised listening to the Beatles and as a young child I fell in love with Wings. I have an emotional connection to his music; so many songs make me feel something deeply or connect me to memories (good and bad). I love how he changed bass playing. Those melodic bass lines are incredible. Some of my favorite parts of Beatles songs are the bass lines. His love for Linda was amazing. They were my idea of a fairytale marriage. And that love came through in his music. "Maybe I'm Amazed" was the first song at my wedding. Even after hearing it hundreds of times it is still an incredibly moving love song (that rocks!)

Me too. I guess it was a clincher for me too in a way. Especially when I realized that Linda was humiliated and made fun of for standing with him on stage. I used her as an inspiration for that myself. Stand like you're hot sh*t anyway. some people don't get why I do that

Look forward not backward...as he does with his setlist. (sorry...couldn't pass it up) Boy, we're all quoting Audi today.

Well, I just felt drawn to the Beatles from the earliest days I heard their music. At first, briefly I was fascinated by John. This was when Walls and Bridges was out and all those songs were all over the radio but Paul caught my attention with Band on the Run and Too Many People. I was just a kid. Back when the Beatles were exploring mysticism with the Maharishi, Paul or George said they understand that their success in this life is because of things they did in their past lives. My ex husband who was into Antroposophy said that if someone was an influence in this life, they were one in a past life and would likely stay an influence and be only an influence. Interesting thought about people who influence me. My own thought was what did the Beatles do in their past lives that drove many so mad during this life? My joke: They made love to us all and we still remember how good it was.

The answer is easy for me... Absolutely fantastic songwriting! One of the very best singers in history! Unmatched gift for melody! Great musicianship, one of the best bassist in music history! Awesome live performer! Great personality and attitude, cares about the world! Relentless work ethic!

Personally speaking.. I have known of Paul since before most of you were born.(1963) He has cheered me up with his music and films when I had nothing to be cheerful about! He has inspired me to have dreams, impossible dreams ( seeing him in person-Halifax NS 09..Pittsburgh Pa. 10..Orlando Fl. 13) In my darkest days he gave me a reason to go on. But as I approach 50 yrs. as a fan..I know nothing can last forever! So, I'm making this statement; Paul, I'm so sorry to say..I can no longer afford to pay big $$ for the bad seats to your shows! Indy will have to be my last but best show! Good luck..may you find peace this day and everyday and learn to laugh..<3 Liverpoolbride
