Paul's generosity (Julian)
-
I am not a person to "rag" on Julian. The hand writing isn't Paul's and Julian did blow off a lot of steam about not being invited to Paul and Nancy's wedding. I would guess that got back to Paul. I've seen Julian perform and enjoyed him. Not "ragging" on him, just observing.

Hi maccascruff, for the record I wasn't saying you were the one ragging on Julian, just that there are others that are always using Julian as a means for their own personal gripes. Sorry if it seemed that way.

They're actually comparing Paul's handwriting in an LJ thread and it's not the way he normally signs his name. now one theory is that maybe it came on some flowers written by either an assistant or the gift shop with the sentiment from Paul. but if not, then it's weird. Julian is troubled either way
Julian is not troubled!

Some years ago Julian Lennon said he receives a card every Christmas from Paul McCartney. Julian Lennon says, "He never misses."
-
will you guys lay off Julian~ geeez~ I believe it is Paul's siggy- & I have the exact sig on something he signed for me.. Julian also tweeted.. the message saying 'thanx Uncle Paul'..

Yep. that was after the famous Facebook meltdown. He was stating about his relationship with Paul since most of us didn't know if they were still in any contact
-
He also wished "Uncle" Paul a happy birthday yesterday on FB and Twitter. I HIGHLY doubt he'd make something like this note up, he'd have to know it'd get to Paul or Paul's people one way or another.
-
It is probably just a note enclosed with something...maybe written by the florist or whomever.

Did Julian write that himself?
If he did, he's clearly a very troubled person. But he's promoting a new album and it hasn't gotten much attention so he's certainly not above using his father and Paul to generate publicity. Sad, though, if he did.
Well, Paul definitely didn`t write it, and Julian surely knows that. I`m completely baffled by this.
As am I. A few of us pointed it out on FB and about 2,000 other people are totally ignoring that Paul didn't write this.
Paul does have a whole office of people that could have hand written this for Paul, they could still be his words, just not his hand writing. Also, when someone orders flowers or gift baskets employees at these places do write notes for people as well. I'm not saying this is legit, but there are a lot of other factors people aren't taking into consideration.
That's what I'm thinking, and why I posted it. It doesn't need to be handwritten by Paul to be Paul's thoughts and words. Focus on the message, folks!

This guy I was involved with LONG ago used to send me flowers and stuff with all these sweet words, etc... but not in his handwriting. He had his secretary call the florist and do it. He wouldn't even know he had sent them half the time cause he was so 'busy' and couldn't be bothered. So it is very possible Paul's 'people' had it delivered. I can appreciate Paul doing that for Julian through middle men/women. But I think in matters of a personal nature between a man and woman who supposedly LOVE each other it is tacky and hurtful. That is how I felt when I found out my ex had his secretary pick out stuff 4 me. THAT is impersonal, hence we are no more.

I think Paul wrote the message, but yes, had the flowers delivered for him. He's in the midst of a tour, so it's not like he has time to find a florist in a city he's not 100% familiar with, have the hassle of getting his "team" together to head out to a florist, etc., etc. So again, let's focus on the message and NOT who wrote the card. God, this is the last time I'll post anything like this on the forum...

Why? Picking on stuff like this is fun sometimes. The "Hey, you're busted" moment....

Must have had the same assistant sign it then. Paul loops his Ls in his signature

Because the intent was to talk about how generous Paul is, and all I've gotten in response is 2 1/2 pages of picking apart whose handwriting it is versus the message. I should have learned by now after 10 years+ on the forum that this isn't the place to post good things.
-
I'd like to think it is from Paul (maybe not personally written by him) but the message is from Paul. Even though Julian publically attacked Paul on FB last year, it didn't take him long to backpeddle (which usually means he regrets what he did) and Paul is known to forgive...so it makes sense this is a recent message from Paul. I just like that he refers to Paul as "Uncle" Paul. I think it is sweet and touching. And rightfully so, John and Paul were like brothers
-
Not only were John and Paul like brothers, Paul was more of a father to Julian than John was...even Julian himself has said this exact same thing.

True. I have also read that Paul has bought memorabilia and given it to Julian because he got none when John died.

Yes, I`m prepared to believe that this is the case. And it is remarkably generous of Paul considering Julian`s public insults last year.
So your saying than Paul has his staff send out personal message to his those aquaintances that maybe are not A lister and so get the card from the little old lady in Paul's sweat shop, who has a pop up on her puter saying ..Julian Lennon, birthday today, send card sign uncle Paul right after cleaning lady birthday from house number 3, send card signed your favorite boss....I think her names doris but double check might be maude. Really!
