whoa! What a great seat you had! Thanks for posting those pics!
Thanks, oobu24! I had quite the experience last night! I got access backstage during the show. Met all the guys in the band (I had met Rusty and Brian before last night, and they remembered me! And finally met Abe and Wix!). Missed Paul, though! Lots of yummy veggie food, open bar and primo seats for the concert! It was a great show! Vocally, I thought Paul was very on. I thought he sounded much better singing "New" than he did at the iHeartRadio Festival. Also nice hearing "Jet" again. It's first appearance in a set this year! Definitely an unforgettable night!
Lucky!

Paul had a great calm funny natural energy in the interview. I watched it again this morning and really enjoyed his stories and just the way he was! I agree w/the ppl that said Kimmel was blah. He strikes me as kinda below average, like he's in show biz because he's the guy that shows up : I seen better! I loved the songs, loved that little stage so close to everybody and the cool colors on the marquis lights. I loved the new songs. the band is so strong! Thank you for the SPD lorry picture!

now that i've gotten some sleep and rehydrated myself, I can make a little more sense today. The set was GREAT! I was expecting something similar to the iHeartRadio Fest set, with a few extra songs (all really good selections imo). I missed Save Us during the IHR stream but I'm so glad I got to hear it live!!! I loved it! <non-Paul related rant> So, concert was fantastic. Queueing experience...not so much. as I've detailed in the Outside Lands thread, I'm no stranger when it comes to waiting all day for headlining acts, but today was by far the worst queueing experience I've had. we were organized in the morning and all lined up for 1iota to start checking us in at 4:30pm, as the ticket said. but around 2:15pm or so, 1iota suddenly opened up the gates on Hollywood Blvd for checking in. Lots of people who were just crossing the street saw the gates opening first, so they rushed in before we did! Some people who were very early had left the line to get water or use the restroom, thinking it wouldn't be another 2 hours until we had to move. Unfortunately my +1 didn't make it in time since she had an orientation until 3:30. Since our tickets said no water, I only brought one bottle to keep me hydrated before check-in. Once we rushed into the queue on Hollywood Blvd, it was stuffy (single file line no more!) and we had no shade. Several people got heat exhaustion and threw up. In the end, all the waiting in the heat didn't get us close to the stage at all. Our tickets said GA folks would get to be in the 2nd - 5th pens, but the closest we got was the 3rd pen. My spot was "good" for GA (I was on the rail). The elevated camera in between pens 1 and 2 meant I couldn't see Rusty for almost the entire gig, let alone Wix! I'm really glad I got to see Paul and the band, but even if the tickets were free, I don't think it was worth the frustration and dehydrating myself. I was also really disappointed that my friend couldn't join me. If only 1iota was a more transparent to us about these changes. there was no change in our instructions about GA only being able to occupy pens 3-5. their staffers knew we were lined up along Sycamore St. but didn't bother to even warn us that they were going to start check-in early. They also didn't tell us that they'd allow water beyond the gates which is why some of us bought water from a guy behind the fence. If it's true that 1iota was selling tickets for the 1st and 2nd pens, I would've just bought a pair so I wouldn't have had to wait all day in the heat for a not-so-great spot. Money can't buy me love but it can save me from sore muscles! </rant> I used my +1 for a mother who waited in line behind me and got tickets as a birthday present (in other words, the tickets were not under her name and she wouldn't have gotten in). She didn't know the lyrics to Twist & Shout (during the remix intro) and told me not to hold up the sign I brought but she had waited all her life to see Paul and I know she would've been crushed if she was turned away. I did feel weird cheering for Brian and Rusty around fans who couldn't name Paul's new album, but I'm glad I got to witness this gig even if I could barely see the stage. AND Paul said an open-ended "Happy birthday!" after singing Birthday! I'd like to think it was for me I tweeted this to the @PaulMcCartney handle on Sunday. no way Paul would've seen my sign all the way from the back oh well.

Was the complete concert broadcast either on some TV channel or website? It is available now on youtube or elsewhere?

A little video I snapped last night down in front. Still buzzing from the amazing stroke of luck that got me about 100 ft. away from Sir Paul.

The complete concert was broadcast on MySpace immediately following the TV show last night. Looks like the stream is still there for viewing on demand: https://myspace.com/jimmykimmellive altho it looks like it starts in the middle of the concert, not quite sure how to get it to play from the beginning... ops:

Unfortunetely the stream is only available in the US/UK/NZ/AUS, but not elsewhere. I haven't seen the entire concert uploaded onto youtube yet.

Mine started at Band On The Run, then started back from the beginning and went until Junior's Farm, then stopped and started over again! Plus it keeps hanging up and then continuing!

Thanks for the links, folks. Unfortunately all I get is a message saying "Myspace is down".

Thanks! I mean.... I have no idea what you're talking about!

I REALLY enjoyed that performance!

Paul was more at ease and naturally charming than I'd seen him on late-nite American tv in 20 years. And his voice was in GREAT shape. I watched with beaming pride last night.

You have to wait until the end and then they start streaming from the beginning.

Grrr....missed the 3 songs at the end of JKL. I told hubby to tape it, so he entered the time 11:30-12:30 on the VCR (yes, a VCR). All I got to see of the so'n.g performance is "New". I really liked it, much better than I heard on the live radio broadcast from the iHeart music festival. Can't watch online @ home because we are on a 10 mb allowance on our Verizon Mi-Fi. Will have to wait until I go to work or find another location. Loved the interview!!!
