Predict Next Setlist

Don't think he'll do more than 4 from 'New' and as he''s not been to Japan for a while, I would expect the set to remain largely unchanged from the summer. Are there any reports of them in rehearsals?
IMO - the biggest question to me is what songs he will cut in favor of the songs from "New". I would personally eliminate "My Valentine", "All Together Now", "Benefit for "Mr. Kite" and "Mrs. Vanderbilt".

I'd imagine he'll cut Your Mother Should Know...for...New All My Loving...for...Save Us Mrs. Vandebilt...for...Everybody Out There ...Queenie Eye has me stumped. That could go several places.
-
Agreed.
-
I reckon Juniors Farm will go for Save Us rather than All My Loving.

That's actually a better call. Of course, didn't he do both songs on Jimmy Kimmel? As well as "Jet"?

Being that Paul has played "All My Loving" in Japan in '93 and '02, I think he will play Junior's Farm. (It will also make up for the lost opportunity in '75).
-
Think he'll replace: All my Loving with Save us Paperback Writer with Queenie Eye And I Love Her with Everybody out there All Together Now with New and going by my earlier predicted set, he may include a few surprises like Penny Lane or Coming Up.
-
To me, "Coming Up and "Penny Lane" aren't exactly surprises. "No More Lonely Nights" -- now that would be a surprise.
-
I'm tired of Let Me Roll It, Here Today, Something and Helter Skelter. What he should do is replace Let Me Roll It with another Wings song, like Silly Love Songs. Here Today should be replaced with Early Days, and Something should be replaced with either WMGGW or Here Comes the Sun. I still think he should definitely have a tribute to John and George, but let's keep the songs fresh. Helter Skelter can be replaced with Rockestra or something. Also, why does Paul neglect pretty much every album he has made from 1976-present? The only songs that he has played from that period is Let'em In, Coming Up, Here Today, Calico Skies, and Flaming Pie. Can anyone else remember him playing a song from that period on a tour within the last 12 years? (Promotion of current album songs excluded) I can't. Maybe he should do a deep tracks tour, just for the hardcore fans.

Welcome to my world, Teddy Boy22. However, to Paul's credit: He did "Fine Line" and "In Liverpool" in 2008, although the latter was not on an album. He did "Cosmically Conscious" in 2009 at the David Lynch charity thing. And he did "Great Day" at a land-mine charity thing in 2003. That's all that I can recall, except for the Flaming Pie songs he's done on tour. Still, in general, his solo songs seem to be toxic to him.
-
Unfortunately both 'Ebony And Ivory' during the White House performance in 2010 and The Mull in every city or country with a Scottish connection.'Wonderful Christmastime' in the December concerts since 2009. The special one-off 'Goodnight Tonight' for Damon Albarn's Africa Express in 2012. And of course a handful tracks from every new album at the time.

Not meaning to sound rude or anything but isnt it obvious that Paul wouldnt be playing a great deal of obscure songs on tour. I do agree that some songs need to be played like "No More Lonely Nights" or "Silly Love Song" but remember that those songs were hits. The reaction to Paul's 90's/00's material would be lacklusture live as most of his material from the time wasnt popular. I'm sure even Paul understands that he must appeal to the 95% of people at the concert who want to hear Beatles songs and some solo hits, not to the 5% who want to hear deep cuts

McCartney plays around 24 songs from the Beatles. That is more than most perofrmers do in entire concert. Add to those songs the BOTR songs he plays constantly and there is not many other songs left to play a deep cut. Heck, he has never done a solo song like "Take It Away" that was a top 20 single in the 1980's. IMO - I have said this before many times and will say it again, McCartney needs to also understand that his live show should contain songs for people who actually buy his current releases and want to hear them live !!
-
Screw the masses, he's no jukebox. He serves them well anyway, so they surely can 'sit through' two or three songs they aren't familiar with. Their loss. Our win. And if McCartney had this approach way earlier in his touring career, many of those songs would now be regarded as classics by the general audience.
-
Word.
-
A cool Beatles song to play would be "From me to you"!
-
I thought "I'll Get You" was a nice setlist addition. It really should stop there.

Here here!!! A lot of the Beatles songs he does on tour weren't exactly regarded as classics until he rammed then down our throats with endless live versions, DVDs, live albums etc etc.

IMO, songs that should be in regular rotation, if not played at every concert: Maybe I'm Amazed Too Many People My Love Band On The Run Jet Listen To What The Man Said Silly Love Songs With A Little Luck Mull of Kintyre Ebony and Ivory No More Lonely Nights My Brave Face Hope Of Deliverance Flaming Pie Fine Line Only Mama Knows New
