Sorry. Like the "McKurtney."

I thought it was dreadful...like a rubbish Helter Skelter wannabe.
Indeed. The attention given to the piece is due entirely to the celebrity of the people who made it, not to the merits of the song. There is precious little composition to speak of.

Paul McCartney and Nirvana- Back To The Egg II (Coming 2014)
-
They could be named "Something in the way", as it's a Nirvana song and also the start of a Beatle song. Of something like "Some of those your Mama wouldn't like you to be with" or so... about "Sirvana", I use to say that McCartney is to music as chocolate is to food, but is different with Nirvana

You know what I think I'm actually learning about myself here, I might just be a bigger Nirvana fan than a McCartney fan I'm like all protective of their legacy and s**t
Really??? I hadn't noticed...
Like I guess no-one had notice I like Queen... One of "impossible dreams" is Paul singing with Queen's "surviving members", I 've always though it was plain impossible... but... after McCartney + Nirvana... ultra whole pic, it seems they get along

How about Sound City?
-
I've downloaded the studio version from itunes and like that version a lot more than either live version I've heard. Hoping this doesn't distract Paul from releasing his own rock CD next year. I'd still rather have a solo rock CD from Paul and or a Fireman CD than another "Nirvana" reunion song. C'mon Paul we're waiting.

I actually prefer the 12/12/12 concert version, but the studio version is also good. This song won't distract him, methinks, as it's on the Sound City soundtrack and not intended to be more than a one-off thing, and it was recorded 6 months ago, so we should be good.

Distract? Actually, I think it's going to accelerate the release of Paul's rock album.

It's now at #161 of the top 200 on iTunes. It had dropped into the 180's yesterday, but is slowly heading upwards...

Very slowly! My opinion has changed again, I originally thought it was awful, then I thought it was maybe ok but now I'm back to thinking it's awful again. I mean the guys play well enough, Paul performs really well but deep down the problem is the song. It's just a terrible song.

I agree....the song itself is not so great, the lyrics, really? But I think I got caught up in the live version at the concert and can watch that over and over. Just the idea of Paul and Nirvana playing together.....did not pay much attention to the lyrics at the time...
