Petition: Paul, tour with an orchestra and choir
-
RMartinez:
I saw Jimmy Page and Robert Plant in Albuquerque in 1995, and they had the local New Mexico Symphony Orchestra play with them. It was amazing! Page and Plant just used local orchestras to perform. Yes, it takes some time to have a music director work with them, but it is a lot cheaper than dragging a full orchestra around the world on tour, and they sounded great.
Well, hello there??? Where the heck ya' been?

Probably not a whole lot different than how Paul selects a local bagpipe band in the few lucky towns who get to hear him perform Mull of Kintyre

Big yes to this, because this is how I got to sing w/Jon Anderson of "YES" several years ago. He used our local Youth Orchestra, we wound up working with him for several days and it was amazing! Big opportunity for learning musicians! Though I don't sign petitions, I'd like to see Paul do the Tony Bennett thing w/an orchestra in small venues yes, but no to a choir, no no. Paul and Abe and Wix and Rusty and Brian is all the choirboys you need for amazing voices

A small horn section and a string quartet would satisfy me. I love REAL strings on Eleanor Rigby, Yesterday et al.

I like Paul's live set up the way it is really. Maybe a one of concert or TV special using this format would be nice, but I don't really see the point in a whole tour. Wix is a big enough orchestra for me

My rock n' roll concerts that I attend don't have choirs or orchestras & I like it that way. In my opinion Paul's line up of talented musicians are the best he's ever had.

On Paul's next tour he should develop it similar to the Concert For Montserrat (1997) or Elton John's 60th Birthday show at Madison Square Garden (2007). Elton had two choirs join him for songs during the show. Elton has also performed Orchestra concerts over the years in major world cities doing 3-5 night runs. Paul could develop a show that showcases Orchestra and Choirs for songs like: The Long And Winding Road Let It Be Hey Jude Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End She's Leaving Home Mother Natures Son Letting Go No More Lonely Nights Anyway My Valentine Good Day Sunshine Band On The Run Big Barn Bed Something Magical Mystery Tour Backseat Of My Car Maybe I'm Amazed Silly Love Songs C'mon People Feel free to sign the petition. Paul's shows keep getting better all the time!
I would be happy if he just had a horn section like he did with WOA tour.
I'm with you. Paul doesn't need a full orchestra and choir, but live horns would be great.
