Cool! Has McCartney played Costa Rica? I can't remember!
No, he hasn't.... he's been to Puerto Rico, though. I would not be surprised if he went to Mexico after Costa Rica. The tour seems to be going in that direction.

That's what I was thinking. And the Southwest USA is just north of that!

Have you got any info about Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Ecuador? Are the dates correct, which ones are more likely to happen, etc?

If you take a closer look at the video posted on Paul's youtube channel of the Paul+Ringo rehearsal for the Grammys and the Beatles Tribute, you will notice a handwritten setlist that includes "Hope Of Deliverance". It seems Ringo played drums on that song during the rehearsal. I wonder why it was included?
It means that Paul will be returning to South America.
And if you play it backwards, you can hear "My fans in South America are the best in the world!"

Maybe Paul will take a wrong turn in Mexico and end up in New Mexico!

Really? I hear, "I keep going there because it's my most lucrative market." Sour grapes? Yep! You bet!!!

I've always wondered if in the US Paul gets a hundred people outside his hotel waiting for hours and hours for him to come out and wave like he does in SA

I get as upset as anyone when McCartney doesn't play my city or state. But is it incredibly ridiculous to get mad at the people or city or country where McCartney does play. Get mad at McCartney, or his management, or his promoters. They are the ones who make these decisions. For whatever reason, McCartney is playing South America again. There is no reason to blame Latin Americans, or the Spanish language, or anything like that. McCartney just played Japan. Good for them!

If we want to think about it this way (more lucrative markets), this is valid for all the places where he keeps playing. But, despite of this "detail", we all know that this affirmative (fans in South America are the best in the world) is also very true.
Nothing personal Kristina. I'm just a little frustrated, yes, but my comments were pretty much tongue in cheek.

Absolutely mate! I was so happy for them, I went to join them.

As many have said before, let's just be glad McCartney is still touring! As long as he does, there is always hope he will play your town.

I have just talked to the man in Uruguay who is negotiating with Paul's team and he confirmed that if the concert is confirmed, the most likely date is April 19. Here are the updated rumored dates: Montevideo - April 19 Santiago - April 20-23 (two concerts, probably April 21 and 22) Lima - April 25 Quito - April 28 Heredia - May 02 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=690703610976210

Thanks 5th Beatle for the possible dates and hope you are right. I am being selfish but I'm hoping that these shows will be a warm-up for a US/Canada Summer 2014 tour. Can't wait to see his setlist for the South American portion...hopefully a strong dose of "NEW" songs (i.e. 7 or .

You're welcome. According to reports, Uruguay is less likely to happen, but the other countries apparently have a better chance. I am pretty sure he will tour the US and Canada in July/August. That's what he has being doing every year since 2009. I am also betting on shows in Europe in May/June.

You lucky south-americans! I was hoping for UK concert dates but you can't blame Paul for playing in south-america again, the fans are amazing!
