General sale is available now for Santiago. I was looking at the available seats (now you can actually choose yours) and I reached the following conclusion, which also applies to Lima: The pre-sale seats (all sectors in the field) are not in the center area, they are located at the sides. Once the general sale is open, then the center seats are available. I guess they do that so that the less interesting seats (far left and far right) sell out during the pre-sale, and then the center seats will also sell out during the general sale. When you buy seats during the pre-sale, you can't choose exactly where you will be, so you have to accept whatever they give you. If you realized you were being assigned "side seats", you would not buy anything during the pre-sale: you would wait for the general sale, when you would actually be able to choose the exact seat you want at the center or at the sides, fully aware of your choices.

That sucks Carlos! Are you sure about that? What a mean thing to do to the fans!

I am absolutely sure about that. I studied very carefully the seating plan shown in the general sale, which is much more detailed than the seating plan shown in the pre-sale.

According to this article, 60% of the tickets have been sold, plus those from the pre-sale: http://www.cooperativa.cl/noticias/entretencion/musica/shows-en-chile/ya-hay-6-000-entradas-vendidas-para-el-show-de-mccartney-en-chile/2014-03-14/124645.html
6,000 seats for a 10,000 seat concert? Cool. Not sure that justifies a second show. But maybe so.

Here is an update for you. This is what the general sale seating plan looks like right now: When you click on each sector, you can choose exactly which seat you want, and you can see where it is. And here is the seating plan that was provided during the pre-sale: You were unable to choose a seat. In fact, looking at that image it's not possible to see where the seat you bought actually is.

Don't get me started on the chilean fans, but I prefer Brazilians and Argentineans

There is absolutely no reason not to know exactly where the seat you are buying is!! They couldn't sell tickets without having a detailed seating diagram! Why not share it with the fans who are buying the tickets!

They couldn't sell tickets without a detailed seating diagram!
And yet, they did just that.

I would love to hear any reasonable answer why fans can't know where the seat being offered on the ticket site is? I know I have said it over and over again but you can't sell seats without an EXACT seating diagram existing.

Don't get me wrong: I am happy that Paul is returning to those cities, and I am also happy that I was able to buy tickets. However, even though I am in Row 6 in Santiago and Row 2 in Lima, I now realize that both seats (58 in Santiago and 55 in Lima) are located at the far right side of the stage, in front of the huge screen. Those tickets were very expensive and I thought that I would get the best seats during the pre-sale, but now I see that those buying tickets during the general sale are allowed to choose better seats than mine.

That's right..happened to me...I was so sad because I couldn't buy in pre sale, but at the end was better....so I learn my lesson!

Live and learn. I'll never use the crowdsurge presale again!

Apparently a TV station in Chile has just broadcast footage of Paul announcing two concerts in Santiago: April 21 and 22. https://m.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=810511375630518&id=119876401360689

According to this source, 80% of the tickets for the first concert were sold yesterday, and tickets for the second concert will be available tomorrow: http://sonarfm.cl/ver_evento.html?id=9775

All newspapers in Chile are announcing the second concert on April 22 and are rumoring a third concert in Chile. I wonder if Paul's voice can handle 3 nights in a row.

That's why I'll arrive on April 20 and depart on April 24. I did the same with the other concerts, always arriving before the rumored date and not leaving immediately afterwards.

I would not recommend it.

A few seats remain for the first concert.

Has anyone received the e-mail with details of the Hot Sound package?
