"One After 909" was rehearsed. If you think Paul played it just because some random guy yelled for the request, you're kidding yourselves.
It always was a soundcheck staple though. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, the fan obviously knew to request a more exclusive song they were overly familiar with.
Luuk One After 909 - is not a set-list staple
Soundcheck setlist staple, harley ;). My point was that they are overly familiar with the song, and it wasn't like McCartney got a request to do 'Secret Friend' while he was on the Magic Piano.

Yes it was. Can anybody who was at the show tell us how his voice was overall? Honest appraisal please.

Javilu already said Paul was in "fine voice" overall at this show -- and by that I'm assuming he meant fine for Paul at 71, not that Paul sounded as he did at 31. I'm not sure why people felt the need to p-ss all over what Javilu described as a very lovely moment for him. Gees we all know that Maybe I'm Amazed is one of the songs that Paul has had difficulty with for years. He plays it because fans want to hear it, and sometimes it sounds OK and often it sounds rough. So what? When I saw Paul last summer the 2 songs he had the most difficulty with were not Beatles songs. They were Maybe I'm Amazed and Band on the Run. Fans didn't seem to mind. They went crazy when he played both of them. However much people are disappointed by the set list, the audience at this show was, by multiple accounts I've read, utterly rapturous. They shared a great concert with Paul that, like all great concerts, had some imperfect moments.

Yes, two shows in Chile... my first McCartney concerts in a closed arena, and for just 10,000 people!

I'm interested to see how you compare the indoor arena with the outdoor stadium's. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for this!! You're so right, true fans are happy that they are hearing their favorite singer singing their favorite songs!! He may not be 31 but he sure acts like it still. I'm so happy he continues to tour and he looks sooooo happy!! If Paul's happy and the fans at the show are happy, then what is everyone else complaining about. Please don't spoil it for those many people who are happy with Paul just as he is. Sending prayers out to the band for a great show!! Peace and Love to Everyone. Don't worry, beeeee happy and if you're not happy, please try and find what makes you happy and then do it over and over again!! Repeat as needed

I will certainly let you know. I was at the arena yesterday and it looks amazing from the outside. I have been told everyone inside will have a great view of the stage, so I expect it to be an unforgettable experience.

Paul's voice failed him here and there but overall, once again, he sounded fine for the most part. Yes, the first verse of Maybe I'm amazed is always difficult for him but I simply adore the song and I don't get tired of it. Tonight in Chile, here we go!
