Predict Next Setlist

RMartinez:
IMO, songs that should be in regular rotation, if not played at every concert: Maybe I'm Amazed Too Many People My Love Band On The Run Jet Listen To What The Man Said Silly Love Songs With A Little Luck Mull of Kintyre Ebony and Ivory No More Lonely Nights My Brave Face Hope Of Deliverance Flaming Pie Fine Line Only Mama Knows New
I agree! Your list does't neglect any part of his career, which I love. Why NMLN is not or has not been in his set list for the past 12 years I will never know. That is one hell of a song. Should have been #1 IMO. I would probably add Take It Away, Wanderlust, Ballroom Dancing, and Stranglehold to the list. Wanderlust is such a lovely piano ballad that has classic written all over it, yet nobody except hardcore McCartney fans know of it. That's a disservice to the entire world!!! As for the other 3 songs on my list, those are crowd pleasin' ear candy that make people want to get up and dance!

Exactly, you're damn right. Wanderlust, So Bad & Ballroom Dancing are some heck of a songs. I know them since I was 5 or 6 years old, so I guess many fans that have heard his 80's material know them, which I think are not a few fans, a lot of fans know them, and if they don't know them, like it had happened with Maybe I'm Amazed or Mrs. Vandebilt, they'll familiarize right away, because they're great songs.

Alright, I get that for pretty much everyone here, you've all seen him at least once. For me, I have never seen him. I was two years away from being born last time he visited Australia and I'm pretty sad that, on the infinitesimal chance he comes next year - that I will miss classics such as 'Jet', 'I Saw Her Standing There' and others that he's shuffled out of rotation. And I think the majority of people will be in my situation wherever he goes. Not necessarily young but I think a lot of people will see a performer they like but aren't fans of (like we are) once in their life - maybe twice if there's like a massive gap say 70s and now. And Paul has given his formula for constructing his setlists: 1. What would newcomers like to hear? 2. Throw some oddities in 3. What would I like to do now? (it's allowed, it's his show) The thing we have to remember is that he still wrote the Beatles tunes - they're still his songs (except Mr Kite but that's a weird one I never liked anyway) so I don't get why he shouldn't be allowed to do them. Agreed, there's some really cool ones that nobody's ever heard of I'd like to see but we're probably 500 out of 10,000 that go to see his shows. We're probably not quite as important as we like to think we are sometimes

To me, "Coming Up and "Penny Lane" aren't exactly surprises. "No More Lonely Nights" -- now that would be a surprise.
They would be for me as I've not heard them before, yes NMLN would be amazing to hear but you get the feeling Paul won't be trying it out any time soon.

What do you think about upcoming south american setlist? Will be the same? I think in 2 NEW songs add ( on my way to work and Alligator) but I hope also in a couple of beatles songs never performed live like Another girl and Maxwell silver hammer

I predict the same set list as in Japan last Nov. with the addition of Early Days, which Paul recently made a video for.

Given the track-record, you're probably right. I wish he'd take it just a tiny step further and open with "Save Us," but that won't happen. Most likely: "Magical Mystery Tour."

I'm pretty sure that "Sing The Changes" and "Dance Tonight" are gone for good.
-
Also he's not performed Hello Goodbye and I Will for quite a while. For next Months SA shows I think pretty much the same as last winter.

Haha, just being bitter. It's the ongoing 'One After 909'/'Letting Go'/'Every Night'/'Bluebird'/'The Word'/'Come And Get It'/'Hope Of Deliverance'/'Your Mother Should Know'-syndrome ;).

Haha, so true too, though that was before my time. ('She's A Woman', 'Till There Was You', 'Fixing a Hole ' and 'All Things Must Pass' applies to that too I would say). Hey, at least 'Junior's Farm' got a nice outing and a fair share on many territories for almost 2,5 years.
-
Don't forget Too Many People/She Came in Through the Bathroom Window!
-
It'll be the exact same as the Japanese set, no changes.

Hope you're wrong!

I think that's an accurate assumption. Maybe two song changes.

I agree.

That would mean he's almost literally returning to the same city (Tokyo) with the same show within a year.
