At this point im tempted to sell the tickets and use the difference to go towards possibly buying the hot sound package. Im unsure to do that thougb because ive heard the soundcheck isnt like what most think it would be for the money.
If you can't go the show that you've got tickets for, I suggest you ask for a refund and make it clear that they're not doing you any favors. It was their mistake, after all. Then you can use the money to attend another concert of your choice. Regarding the soundcheck, I can only give you my personal opinion: it is worth giving it a try, at least once, if you can afford it. The experience itself is quite interesting, and so is the setlist. For example, last november in Japan he sang "Alligator", "On My Way To Work", "Big Barn Bed", "It's So Easy", "Miss Ann", etc.

For anyone still looking for Pittsburgh tickets, I got an email from Consol Energy Center this afternoon saying they are doing a presale from 10AM on Friday to 10AM on Sunday. It will probably be better to do that than try to deal with Crowdsurge again on Monday.

And how does one do this presale?

Yes crowdsurge made a mistake, and that mistake has resulted in me taking an unexpected trip to Albany, but we, the buyers of tickets also need to hold back some of the anger. None of these shows sold out in less than 10 minutes...granted he website claimed nothing was available, but patience always pays. I snagged 2 floor A seats to NOLA 29 minutes after the onsale. People don't always finish their transactions or put tickets back. In the future, start clicking search over and over and over...you'd be suprised how many times you are successful. If we are informed consumers, we can overcome the headwinds that face us. Scalpels feed on the fear of getting shut out...between crowd surge, Amex, venue presales, VIP packages and the general onsale, there are few reasons to pay more than face or get stressed out.
-
This was my response from CrowdSurge: Unfortunately, due to high demand we only have five tickets still available for the CONSOL Energy Center show. Additional tickets will be sold during the general sale on April 14th at 10 AM EDT at http://www.ticketmaster.com/paul-mccartney-pittsburgh-pennsylvania-07-07-2014/event/16004C877FF247B8?artistid=735610&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1.

I tried for 1 1/2 hours while at work - never with any more success than a single ticket by itself. I'm stressed.

Yes. I tried on 3 computers during my planning period and lunch. My blame lies TOTALLY on THEIR stupid mistake. I got right in.... but THEY sent me to the WRONG venue.

Have the folks at paulmccartney.com been able to help those who were misled by Crowdsurge?

No
-
Crowdsurge's response to me telling them at least four people I know of were redirected to the wrong site was that they have no more tickets for that venue. They hoped that their response was satisfactory because customer service is important to them. I somehow don't believe that. Boiled down that answer is "tough luck, now go away". The redirect was done on purpose to give scalpers the advantage.

All I was told was to contact Crowdsurge and that they "may be able to help," but based on the responses Crowdsurge has given me doesn't sound like they are too interested.

Thanks 4 the link to New Orleans. Unfortunately I don't have $1,500.00 to buy a decent seat. But I am glad they are available for someone. Upon many concerts so far I have determined the following factors to be able to get nice seating at Paul MacCartney concerts: A.) Very wealthy and/or B.) Very young and beautiful Just the way of the world, and I don't belong to either category. Love the music though. I will listen by CD, radio, etc... Peace & Love!

What makes you believe they are releasing better VIP tickets today? I just checked Albany and I don't see any better seats being offered up.
-
Not for Louisville. The VIP tix on there now are farther to the side than the ones up yesterday. I got Row C Sec 2 Seat 8 yesterday, now seats 15 and 17 are coming up. Don't know about the other cities.
-
I don't see better seats at the Albany venue either so I'm not sure where this person is getting their info from...yesterday I got FLR2 (center of the stage!), Row D, Seats 5-6--I don't think you can do much better than that. But as someone else said, I just need to forget about how much I spent for the tickets!
-
As soon as you see, in person, where your seats are-the price you paid will be forgotten, trust me!!
-
If anybody wants to buy two for the Albany show I will be selling some. They are in the lower section, 121 I believe. Face value, $270 each.

I could not agree more having done the packages tickets a couple times and you do immediately forget...
