That's GREAT news! Just wish the California venues would be announced. The suspense is killing me.
. Ha me too!
Me three!
Since we're getting all these arena shows, I wonder if there is going to be any stadium shows??
At this point, it doesn't really matter to me! Just as long as he announces shows for California. Particularly Southern California!
-
of course if all of those presales are happening tomorrow at similar times, be prepared for a Crowdsurge crash...
-
Via Macca Report, a rumored date for Fargo, ND at Scheels Arena on July 12, which only has a max capacity of 6,000!
-
I saw on some pages back that San Diego was discussed as a potential venue. As a San Diego resident, I would love to see him come here, but we don't have a good arena venue. If he is doing arenas on this tour, the closest I think he would come is Anaheim Pond. That's where I saw him on Oct 25, 2002. Besides the Pond, the SD venues all have problems: Petco Park (too big if he's doing arenas. Petco would be a bad place anyway). Sports Arena (dilapidated. He played there with Wings in 1976. His last time in SD) Chula Vista Amphitheater (too small? It's also outdoors. Not sure he's doing outdoor places). Irvine Verizon Amphitheater (ditto to the above). I'd go to the Pond in a heartbeat, though.

Soooooo, when is Los Angeles being announced?
-
Is a Portland date dead then? I saw some guess it would end the tour but I can't tell if it was in Bobs clue or not.
-
Based on some of the letters in Bob's clue, I wonder if places like Sacramento, Portland, and San Diego are actually in play. They may win out over the typical LA/Staples Center type venues.

Impossible. The Fargodome has hosted Elton, The Stones, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel, Springsteen, etc and is the only logical choice for a Macca show at 20,000+.

There are other cities that begin with P....Phoenix, maybe?

June is all arena shows - that makes sense - weather can still be a little iffy. I would think a couple of the July and August shows would be stadium shows. Better weather. As noted, MLB All-Star game is mid-July so all the stadiums are empty for a few days. Congrats to those that got shows in June in their cities or close by. Good luck on getting tickets. I'm hoping for a better Crowdsurge showing than many got on here last week. RamblinRed

My fingers are still crossed for Chicago, or Milwaukee, or Minnesota, or Madison, or something up this way! Everything but Nashville from today's announcements are all double-digit hour drives for me, though I love Nashville, that could be an awesome place to go for a Macca concert.

Hoping everyone is in a better mood today with 6 brand new announcements expalanation of first clues Lawrence & Ella- Buddy Holly's parents name 1st and 14th- first US show on the 14th 1891-Lubbock High School Established Black & Gold-Lubbuck HS Westerner's school colors Curtis & Davis- Sonny Curtis and Mac Davis also graduated Lubbock HS so if you guessed Lubbock you were right!! Appears that the foreign iconic venue might be wrong though since the US shows are being announced. Shaping up to be a fun summer. Hope all gets tickets to the shows they want!

God, I hope not! I hate stadium shows.

The LA Forum could be in play too. It's been entirely renovated with concerts in mind. Eagles were the first act to open it, what maybe a year ago?

Eagles opened the arena this past January. I got to go to one of those shows!

the 1st and 14th clue was the one that kept stumping me, I got all of the others to fit to Lubbock except that one.

Wonder how close he'll come to the Northeast this time (ie, any shows in New England since he already played Boston last summer)? In any event, it's always exciting to find out the new dates!
