Can't remember where it was now, but it's been mentioned that Paul and the band have rehearsed a number of "New" songs that he might just pull out at a moment's notice some night, the way he did with "On My Way To Work." Does anyone know how many they rehearsed, and what do we think they would be? I would have to guess "Early Days" is one, and didn't he play "Appreciate" at a soundcheck?
Brian Ray said in an interview last week they rehearsed about "half" of the album. With 'Save Us', 'On My Way To Work', 'Queenie Eye', 'Everybody Out There' and 'New' played live, and 'Alligator' and 'Appreciate' rehearsed, that's about the right amount.
Looking At Her was also rehearsed
Really?? Which soundcheck was it played?
The fact that it was rehearsed does not mean it was performed at a soundcheck.
Understood, however until it's played 'in public' how do we know it was rehearsed unless we're told (band interview?) or it's on video.

Good question. Those kind of rumors leak from someone at rehearsal or maybe the organization itself.

I predict European/UK dates for late 2014, then in 2015 more South American dates, say around April, then USA dates a few weeks after that. IMO.
-
I predict Euro/UK dates late this year, Far East/Australia/New Zealand Feb/March.

That would be cool!!

That would be east of the Mississippi and north of the Ohio rivers...?

I like your prediction. I hope it'll come true!

I suppose! I don't expect anything south of Colorado and north of Mexico!

Wish he'd come to Colorado. Then my boyfriend (who loves Paul) could come along.

I think the last time he played Colorado was 2010. I am surprised he is not playing Denver this tour.

Hmmmm, I think there was a report from someone at a soundcheck saying 'Appreciate' had McCartney on his 'Cut Me Some Slack' cigar box guitar. 'Looking At Her', no clue.
-
One thing is certain: Just because a song is played at sound check or rehearsal is no guarantee it will make the set list.

Well actually I figured out that "Look at Her" and "Appreciate" were rehearsed months back. Even before the Montevideo show. Surprised no one has figured out how I know. It's pretty simple.... I have no inside connection too. I just happened to figure it out from something that made it well.. quite obvious.. All I'm saying is I know they were both rehearsed. Paul did soundcheck "Appreciate" according to Stuart Bell. If this brings any interest, the personal for both is... "Appreciate" Paul - Cigar Box Guitar Rusty - Gibson ES-335 Brian - Epiphone Jack Cassidy Bass Abe - Dw Drums with Electronic Drum Pad Wix - Keyboards "Looking At Her" Paul - Hofner Bass Rusty - Gibson ES-335 Brian - Gibson SH Abe - Dw Drums Wix - Keyboards ... Also "Demon's Dance" has been rehearsed & soundcheck... Does that count too as a new song too?
-
I can't remember exactly where it was, but there's a video of the band rehearsing looking at her with the studio audio over the top. Maybe it's in Something New?

I'd really like this.

Reportedly, he told the Minneapolis crowd he would see them next summer. So we can reliably say he's planning on coming back to the U.S. for at least one show in 2015.

It would not surprise me if his 2015 itinerary looked exactly like his 2014 itinerary!

He said this to Milwaukee last year. Let's hope he comes somewhere back to the Midwest.
-
He always says, "See you next time."
-
I have no doubt he will be back in the US next year, hopefully with a different tour name, which would certainly mean changes in the setlist.
