Paul McCartney sign question
-
They wanted one of their own FOTR to hold the sign..not one of us regular fans, I had volunteered to hold one, but was told I wasn't needed. Yeah my "neighbor" regretted giving in to them

Wow that was beyond rude the other person almost wouldn't give the seat back. I most likely would not have moved thinking that exact thing would happen.

surprising as most of the FOTR that I know are very nice and not rude at all.
-
Wow. Just lost some respect for Rick G and FOTR.
-
Oh, please don't misunderstand,No one was rude. We all know FOTRs , it was just for the one song.everything would have been ok,except for the one wanting to stay in her borrowed seat after holding up the sign ! All the FOTRs I have met are all cool ,especially Rick ! I think she was overly happy at seeing Paul in 3rd row instead of 8 !

Anyhoo......Did anyone see any good signs at Dodger or Candlestick ?? We know Paul saw Ricks signs at Candlestick, but what about other signs ? I think I have run out of ideas for a sign to get his attention!

The best signs at Candlestick were the ones that said "I Was Here in '66", or to that effect. One lady had one with that theme...with pictures, newspaper cutouts, original tickets on the sign. Very creative. There were many many "tatoo" signs, of course. : I think my sign was pretty clever, and I almost forgot about it totally until Paul started talking about seeing the signs. Then I smacked myself, and said "oh yeah", and grabbed it from underneath my chair. That was the only time I held it up.

I hope people stop with the tatoo thing. Like we are saying, its getting old.

I forgot to hold mine up at 1 show,I was too busy enjoying Paul. This was before he started reading them. All that time spent on making it & it sat on the floor !

Ah got it. I misread that as the women wouldn't vacate the seat after the song. My bad.

..... Please- Don't get me started on Candlestick, which fans are FOTR who isn't who is --- maybe you are or aren't -- does this one get along --up down all around!~ : : : I just can't tell ya'sss
-
All I will say is that it wasn't fun being in row 4. There were just way too many signs being held up throughout the show by those in row 3.
-
I was 4th row center also......

It wasn't so joyful being in the 4th row,... At candlestick...

Try the fourth row, and not only being behind the signs, but also behind the tallest of the FOTR (6-5+?)! Despite that luck of the draw, it was still pretty joyful, an incredible experience, and vastly different from anywhere else at a show (I've been front row to the right and third row to the left at other shows, and neither compared to the center section, sightline or sound mix)...

I've seen the pictures and I would not have liked it--especially being behind the one you are speaking of. There is at least one more tall one among them and they are usually next to each other. If I found myself seated next to them and they asked me to move so they could hold up their signs, I would politely say no. If that didn't work, I wouldn't be so polite the next time. I would not move so they could hold up "their" signs.
