Tour Program
-
If you have bought this year's tour program, what is your opinion of it? I would like others' thoughts on it before I purchase one. It's good we have the option to purchase one online because at the concert it can get all crumpled up.

They all pretty much say the same things, this one has the 3D, and it's a good read. I can barely justify spending $30, maybe $20, $25 at most.

I like it!

I like too. However, the cover of the one they were selling in Warsaw seems different to its Brazilian and US editions. Poland: light blue cover with white lettering. Brazil: light blue cover with green/yellow/blue lettering (am I right?). the US: dark blue cover with green/yellow/blue lettering. Anyway, here's the one sold in Warsaw:

Bring back the 1989-90, and 1993 freebie magazines!!!

There were still proper tour programs you could buy for both of these tours. There are pictures of them in other threads.

You are right, there are 3 different versions. Here is the one sold in Brazil:

In 1989 and 1993 we got GREAT programs for FREE! I still have mine, and I also bought the big one with photos from 1989. Still, I prefer the free one!

Can anyone scan the program cover of the 2013 Japanese leg of the tour? Thank you.
-
I buy one from almost every show I See - especially McCartney. Then I frame it along with the ticket. Makes for a great souvenir.
-
I don't find the programs worth the price. Not enough in them. There was more in the free program from back in the day than there is now.
-
I have still yet to buy one from the US shows last year. I didn't get a chance to buy one last year in Indy. I wish I could find someone selling one for a good price. Too bad eBay isn't reliable for tour programs. I do have the two programs from the 90's I bought at a record shop and one at a Beatles merch stand at AOTR, they're pretty neat honestly haha

I don't have a scanner, but it looks just the ones shown above, except it's light pink instead of blue.

Thanks, Carlos! (Disregard PM I sent you)

I feel the $30 for a program is more justified than $40 for a shirt, but that's just me. To me the shirts are a little too much (huge lettering, huge pictures). I prefer them to be more subtle. The program is a nice souvenir. Lots of good pictures, some interesting interviews? Is it overpriced? Of course, but it's a great memento.

I used to go mad buying programs at concerts. Now, I just attend and enjoy the show. Same with t-shirts. I bought the program for McCartney in 1989 and it was cool, but the free one was better. In 1993, just took loads of the free program, which was very cool!

Question to those who got a tour book at one of the August shows: are the San Diego and San Antonio shows mentioned on the "tour dates" page?
-
I stopped getting the program because it would end up getting bent or trampled on during the show.

Thank you very much for the info. I guess it was too late to include them in the books sold at the August shows. They will probably be listed in the next edition (October shows).
