I would make a really great sign-something original and colorful!! Not sure where your seats are, but Paul has people walking all over the venues, looking for energetic, excited people-so don't think you have to be right up front for a sign to get noticed! Not sure why there are some snarky comments here, this is a better reason to try to meet Paul than some I have seen..... Good luck Dad, but even if your wish for your son doesn't come true-you will have one of the BEST experiences of your life, at a Paul concert! ENJOY Dallas, and my best wishes to you and your son...I can't imagine what you have been through.

Appreciate all the help but since I do not want any disappointment to possibly detract from tonight's concert with my son should nothing happen so cannot do any signs. Last ditch effort it the surprise attack where I will advise that my real name is Roger, and my son, age 11, will be wearing pink cancer awareness wrist bands on our right wrists and where we will be sitting: Section 327 Row B Seats 1 and 2 Peace, Love, and Kindness to All.

Have a great time everyone!

Enjoy the show!

When they came back on stage for the 1st encore, Abe had a small pirate flag. Is that something new or has he been doing that? I though it was hilarious. Great show and to quote Paul, the audience was 'brilliant'!

I'm not sure how long Abe's being carrying out the pirate flag, but he's done it at the shows I attended earlier in the year.

Abe's been flying the pirate flag since 2005.

anyone brought up onstage?

Fantastic Show! Then again, isn't that kind of a duh answer. What else would it be? No Buddy Holly, but did some nice Jimi Foxy Lady riffing! My son and I had a fantastic time. This was my 5th and my son's 1st show. I kind of knew throwing my request for my 11 year old son "out there" was a long shot but figured what the heck; trying to do that for my son was a solid reason. Since I had realistic expectations and semi-insulated my son, who I need to give more "meddling kid" credit than I do being he snooped and did peep this thread when I stepped away, that gave me the chance to level those realistic expectations with him before hand. While the personal extension of something special for him didn't happen. it did not detract from the great show in any way. With all they have going on for the entire crowd logistics wise, that is perfectly understandable. Fantastic mix of songs and not short on the Wings tunes I love including a railing version of 1985!! I also got a kick out of "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" which he has played at prior shows I've been to, but the synchronized lasers were a nice high tech added touch. While we were upstairs, we were in row B equivalent to the 20th row on the floor so had a great view even though it was "High, High, High" up. With that proximity, my son was almost blown back in his seat from the concussive wave of the first explosion and feeling the heat from the flames shooting up during Live and Let Die which is one of his favorites and now is probably THE favorite McCartney song! Since Mom's passing, "Let It Be" has been a strong song for us but in a reverent way but we discovered some lyrics with a theme I have been helping him with played last night: "Obla-de, Obla-da" LIFE GOES ON!!" It's just a stupid silly fun song as his life should be that he knows his mom would want for him. Her presence was there with us. ACTUALLY, in my last ditch seat posting location note, I advised that we would both be wearing the pink cancer awareness wrist bands that we have been wearing all month to honor his mom and my former wife. My son seeing Paul on stage also sporting a pink wrist band for the entire show really meant a lot to him and we were waving ours in solidarity with Sir Paul's losses to that cursed disease. We were both pleasantly surprised and mentioned to my son that maybe some word did get back to Paul. Truth often is stranger than fiction. This Single Dad, board posting rookie, Roger, really appreciates all the help, support, and rooting for us from all!! OH - I lost $5.00 to my son because Ringo did not make a cameo when he played just 200 miles away in Austin, TX the prior night and had the next three days, including last night off!! Wait 'till I see that Ringo next!!

Glad you and your son had a great time.

Single_Dad I am happy you and your son enjoyed the show. Paul puts on a fantastic show.

Great to hear that you and your son had such a great time! I've been taking my younger son to Paul's shows since he's four (1990)...we haven't missed a U.S. tour since! Doesn't get much better!
