Paul, Come To Australia
-
Fly Paul Fly to Australia:
Tom Petty said it best "when money became king" a bloody manager deciding where Paul plays and off course he will make decisions to line his pockets rather than the loyal fans and the love of the music which there is so much more outside the US or Japan
Exactly. That's a great album, The Last DJ.

Let's hammer his management with as many Aussie tour requests as possible, we will not back down, we will get a show before he leaves planet earth!

Or better yet, contact concert organizers/promoters in Australia (in South America we have Planmusic, Fenix, Time For Fun, etc) and ask them to book Paul McCartney to perform in Australia! That will be much more useful I think.

Stock standard rubbish. To his credit, at least he does reply. ...and I can tell you, over the years he has had and still recieves tishloads of emails!!! "Paul would love to come" - bulltish. Hasn't set foot here since 1993...for work or holiday. "Time is the problem" - bulltish.
Doesn't it take about the same amount of time to get to Japan? What does that mean??
I wonder if the "time" issue is not about travel time, but about the unusually short time that elapses between Paul's tickets going on sale and the show? I don't know if that's more usual elsewhere, but it would be pretty unusual here in Australia. I think the interval between on-sale and concert date was pretty short in 2002 and we all know that ticket sales were a disaster, hence the real reason for the cancellation. At the same time, Paul has a huge guarantee which seems to be non-negotiable. So, I could see a local promoter saying, "OK, I'll agree to the guarantee but only if you give me X* months to shift the tickets." (*Where I would guess that X would be at least 6.) The recent Stones tour has shown that, in Australia, a few extra months and a bit of publicity can be the difference between a moderate success and a massive sell-out with extra dates added when people are charging ticket prices that are higher than would usually be considered reasonable. So, maybe the thing that might change in the future (perhaps as Beatrice gets older) is Paul's ability to commit further into the future?

The problem with that is that Paul will also be getting older.

I saw Chuck Berry in concert last year and I pray to God I never get to see Paul in senile state as Chuck. I am confident Paul will know when to call it quits.

I know...right? I don't want to see that either.

I'm not confident about that at ALL!!! I hope someone taps him on the shoulder when and if it gets to that stage!

Seems to be a very confident statement there 5th Beatle?

Down Under Tour 2015.
I note the lack of question mark...
-
If I was Australian, I'd start saving money to fly to America in 2015

Australians have money. We don't have to save it. Ouch!
-
That Chuck Berry show last summer was downright pitiful.
-
They all are. Check out his Russia 12? gig on You Tube. The audience is guffawing. Sad, but at the same time...stop wheeling him out and ripping off paying customers! It's over Chuck.

You're most welcome to come. And the nazi cash was bribe for the politicians who let then hide here in the mid 40s, not for the country lol. Mr. Eichmann had a great time here! I'd love to see Australia and New Zealand one day. Never been there.
