$29.50 Tickets
-
I know there were several $29.50 or $26.50 tickets available this year. Did anyone manage to get them? It seems that they were sold out EVERYWHERE. I wonder where they went. Paul should do more shows with tix for $29.50.
-
That's what I paid in 1993 for the highest ticket price!
-
Yup. In 1993 I paid $35 for a ticket. In Boulder I was 11th row. For $35.

Me too - it's why 90% of my Paul concerts fall in the 1989/90 and 1993 tours Nowadays (including dating back to the 2002 tour), I try to hit one show when he shows up in my town...won't travel and then pay current prices, will pay the prices for shows in my own proverbial 'backyard'

I got that price level at the 2009 show at Fedex Field, but that was the only time I was trying for it since I couldn't possibly pull off two floor tickets in one summer at the time. We were in the front row of the topmost level of the stadium...it was a great view!

It's so bad now that $3.50 is what it costs to print your ticket at home. LOL.

My flyer from the Boulder concert says $31.50 plus fees. Fees made them $50.

I don't remember, so I cannot confirm that I paid $50 for MY ticket. I'll meet you in the middle and say I paid $42.50 for an 11th row seat to a Paul McCartney concert in 1993. Or even just agree and say I paid $50 for an 11th row ticket to a Paul McCartney concert in 1993. Now everyone can sleep better tonight!

There were some $29.50 seats for Macca's Nashville show this past October.

do you know who got them? or where they were? it seems that no one on here was able to get those cheap seats.
-
Nashville was among the re-scheduled October concerts when Macca got sick before the originally scheduled June date. I think that's why so many were still available when I checked in September. They were very bad seats. Still, I almost caved and bought one, but -- nope -- I stuck to my commitment and skipped this tour.

That's just sad. When did rock & roll become the music of the rich?

To my memory it was around 1994 when The Eagles realized they could charge $100 and up for tickets, and everyone else jumped on board. Paul in 1993 was about $35. The Stones in 1997 were $75 for field seats. It really is crazy. I don't care if the market supports it. To have to pay so much to see artists not even in their prime any more it ridiculous. And I won't do it. I saw them already in their prime!

I remember that. I thought folks had lost their minds at the time to pay that kind of money -- especially for The Eagles (not a fan; more of a solo-Henley guy).

I like the Eagles. But the point is, that is when it became OK to fleece your fans. I don't like it when the Eagles do it, and I don't like it when Paul McCartney does it.

Point taken.

I got 6 of those $100 tickets for the Eagles (when you still had to stand in line for a lottery at Turtle's Records!) One of the surgeons bought my ticket for me because I got him 4 tickets. I was 2nd in the lottery and I got about 15th row seats! Fantastic concert!

Cool! I saw the Eagles in Albuquerque in 1976 for $6 and they were great. Then in 2001 for $100 and they were great!

The Eagles suck. But, seriously... ...they suck. They really, really, reeeeeally suck.
