Paul McCartney & Taylor Swift sing 'Shake It Off'

He's NOT playing the Hofner. That's the most exciting thing he's done in ages.
The most surprising part of the photo and the first thing I noticed! Very cool!
-
What next? A duet with 5 Seconds Of Summer?
-
On Monday's Tonight Show Jimmie Fallon talked at length about the whole experience he had hosting the impromptu jam, mentioning Paul. https//
Also after the second commercial break, there is a brief clip of Paul singing My Valentine with the rose petals during the Irving Plaza show http//www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/episodes/211 -

I wasn't thrilled to see him work with Kanye West or Rihanna, but -- just as I've digested those collabs -- McCartney lowers himself to... ..."Shake It Off"???

now watch that...there may be some Taylor fans here. joking. Although I bet Paul's little daughter is into her.
-
Glad Paul isn't a snob and is willing to have fun on a jam with other artists in room.
-
It's great to see Paul McCartney jamming with artists. It's not so great, however, to see him jamming with whatever-the-hell Taylor Swift is.
-
What should he have done? Walked off the stage and refuse to play? Demand a better artist like Beyoncé?
-
Replace Beyonce with Prince or Tina Turner -- and we've got a deal.
-
Jimmie Fallon has never written a meaningful song. Paul should have never have lowered himself to sharing the stage with him.

I'm just being silly, but I really, really, really, really, really, REALLY hate the song "Shake It Off." It is the worst song I've ever heard. It makes me yearn for the substance of Scotty McCreey's odious "I Love You This Big"... or Enrique Iglesias' embarrassing "Freak" ... or Florida Georgia Line's moronic, bro-country turd "Sun Daze." That's how much I hate that song.
-
I continue to be amazed at how uptight and/or close-minded Paul's fans are about who he chooses to collaborate with -- or in this case, have some fun with. He grew up in a family where people just gathered around the piano and sang songs -- friends, family, neighbors, it didn't matter. How is this different than what he has been doing all his life? And get off your pompous high horses -- Taylor Swift can write a catchy pop tune. She has done it for a good six or seven years now, which suggests it isn't a fluke. Sure, they can be lightweight and sentimental and sometimes deceptively simple... Um, sound like anyone else we know? Frankly, Spies Like Us -- and its video -- is far more embarrassing than anything he has done recently. And, by the way, even when he collaborates with musical geniuses, the results aren't always that special ("Ebony and Ivory," "The Girl is Mine," "Mr. Moonlight."
-
She can't sing live. Fleetwood Mac fans were horrified at Taylor Swift's tuneless duet with Stevie Nicks at the Grammys a few years back.
-
Besides, this isn't a collaboration. It's a jam for whoever wanted to join in.
-
Joni Mitchell was right to pull the plug on allowing Taylor Swift to portray her in a bio-pic.

And astute music-fans will hate, too.

This part of the thread is a joke right? Too funny! Yes, it was just a jam session for whomever was there.
-
Something like that.
